1. ACTIVITY: PICTURE ANALYSIS
a. Each group will be provided with a picture and will be given 3 minutes to
discuss their ideas using the following focus questions:

b. How will you interpret the activity of the people as seen in the picture?
c. Why do you think these people are doing such activity?
3. ABSTRACTION: (Lecturette)
a. What is a social movement?
b. What are the types or examples of social movements?
c. How are these social movements grouped together?
d. Why are social movements established?
4. APPLICATION
Group Activity (Lights, Camera, Action!)
The class will form a group of 3 and each group will think about a social movement
either representing indigenous people’s rights, environmentalism, feminism, religious
fundamentalism, revitalization movements and others.
After 15 minutes, each group will perform in the class the social movement of their
choice depicting the activity and the purpose and the ideals of that movement.
