Your advantages:
- the tooth and the counter plate can be replaced by the one-part STEX 45 threaded plate
- put the STEX 45 threaded plate into the profile rail, turn it about 45°, plug the threaded
pin and the counter nut in and screw the pipe clamp onto the profile rail
- the tooth plate guarantees a form-locking connection with the profile rail
- after turning in, the STEX 45 threaded plate anchors automatically form-locking in the too-
thing of the profile rail (herable by the „Ratsch“-sound during moving of the threaded plate in
the profile rail)
- after turning in, the STEX 45 threaded plate can be positioned in the profile rail by moving.
- threaded pins or threaded rods can be turned in easily
Your advantages:
- the tooth and the counter plate, as well as the threaded pin can be replaced by the one-
part STEX 45 threaded bolt
- put the STEX 45 threaded bolt into the profile rail, turn it about 45°, plug the threaded
pin and the counter nut in and screw the pipe clamp onto the profile rail
- length- and height differences up to 30 mm can be balanced without any tools
- due to different bolt lengths, differences up to 130 mm can be realised
Your advantages:
- put the mounting bolt into the profile rail, turn it about 45°, position the component in and
counter the nut
- a circumstantial insertion of tooth bolts and tooth plates is not necessary
- the profile rail keeps the components on its own
- simplyfies the mounting of connection parts in rail constructions
Your advantages:
- put the mounting bolt into the profile rail, turn it about 45°, position the component in and
counter the nut
- a circumstantial insertion of tooth bolt and tooth plates is not necessary
- profile rail keeps on its own, no holder necessary
- simplyfies the mounting of add-on-parts like sliding elements or connection parts in rail
constructions

The total load of a fixpoint in connection with a compensator is independent of pressure, temperature differences and pipe lengths between the
compensator and fixpoints, as well as the value balgen cross-section and axial value resistance. Pipelines fixed on building constructions have
to be mounted with sound insulations according to DIN 4109.
This mounting method is very suitable for the fixpoint installation.
Specification:
The body material of the fixpoint is galvanized. Blank parts e.g. the welding lug for fixpoints should also be coated after the welding. 3a
In case of welding the body material on the structure we recommend to coat the parts also or galvanize with zinc-spray.
Operation/Installation advice:
suitable for straight, unramified pipeline alignment with axial compensator or U-expansion bend
forced guide bearing within spitting distance of the compensator is obligatory

Applications:
Spring hangers or -pots can be used for installations where no rigid storage of plant systems (e.g. pipelines,
assemblies) are allowed. For example a pipeline exposed to a certain temperature which requires due to its
temperature bending an elastic storage.
Furthermore the spring insulators or -pots meet sound acoustical criterias, which are required by environmental regulations or
regulations for health and safety at work.
Via suitable periodical correaltion of the spring insulators a vibrance insulation can be achieved without any problems.
An insulation effectiveness higher 95 % (is equivalent to a insulation value of approx. 25 db (A)) at various loading areas can be
achieved in any case. The force of the possible amplitudes depends on the respective parasitic frequences.
An important advantage of the MEFA spring insulators and pots is, that there is no metallic contact between the construction
and the pipeline. In combination with a sound absorbing decouple element the transfer of the structure-born-sound via the steel
spring can be avoided.
MEFA spring insulators meet the requirements of vibration insulation and the disconnection of the structure-borne-sound. 3c
The individual elements of the insulators (spring, housing, etc.) are all fitted for stated loading areas. The requirements of
technical regulations e.g. DIN standards will also be achieved. The MEFA Spring insulators also meet the criteria of foreign
standards (e.g. ASME code)
For an optimum dimensioning of the spring hangers/ -pots our technical department is at your disposal at any time.

Notice: - insulation action can only be expected in the supercritical section n > 1
- the subcritical section is equivalent to a not insulated mounting n < 1
- the critical frequency range n = 0,7 - 1,4 causes vibrating circuits and furthermore a higher failure load.

1. The spring pot can be clamped via 2 hex. screws with the suitable load
for the stationary handling with help of the prestressed hex. screws
M8 (SW13 mm) [1]. (values for direct reading, significant value for
direct reading on the bottom edge of the casing [0])
5. After balancing the spring pot the prestressed screws [2] can be
removed. Remove the counter nuts [6] and screw out the prestressed
screws [2]
4. The assembly and mounting of the pipeline with the spring pot and
the substructure refers to a fixpoint pipeline which effectuates a partial
load relieving of the lower fixpoint
The mounting of the pipeline takes place due to the necessary power
absorption on its prepressed condition
3. Spring insulator with the pipe clamp can be mounted via pipe clamp,
compressor or a traverse, with the help of the suitable connecting
elements (threaded rod, treaded coupling and counter nut)
3c
1. In a defined, vertical fixpoint pipeline (see drawing a and b) the spring
pot can be...
The pipeline load of this bracket has to be noticed when choosing the
spring hanger. The load and the spring deflection have to be regarded.
The load of the pipeline increases, in the stationary section, about the
amount of the equivalent spring rate to the spring deflection
3. Spring insulator with the pipe clamp can be mounted via pipe clamp,
compressor or a traverse, with the help of the suitable connecting
elements (threaded rod, treaded coupling and counter nut or adapted
traverse mountings)

Fastening distance
Preface:
Pipe supports of pipes, pipeline elements or e.g. fittings have to be mounted according to constructional facts, service conditions
and environmental effects.
Distance of pipe clamps depending on weights and wall thickness of the conduit pipe, as well as of flow medium density and
operating temperature.
Stated fastening distances are only recommended values and should be estimated for every static case of operation.

Pipe expansion
When calculating, due to thermal fluctuation, elongations of pipes, following information should be noticed:
Determination of elongation
The elongation can be determined by: ΔL = elongations mm
L = length of calculated pipe m
ΔT = temperature difference between medium- and installation temperature K
α = coefficient of linear expansion mm/m * K
Formula: ΔL=LxΔxα

The total load of a Fixpoint in connection with a compensator is dependent on pressure, temperature differences and pipe lengths between the
compensator and Fixpoints, as well as the value balgen cross-section and axial value resistance. Pipes fixed on building constructions have to
be mounted with sound insulations according to DIN 4109.
This mounting method is very suitable for the Fixpoint installation.
Specification:
Suitable for straight, unramified pipe alignment with axial compensator or U-expansion bend.
Forced guide bearing within spitting distance of the compensator is obligatory.
Drawings:

1. Mount the body material of the Fixpoint (1) on the supporting structure (2) (e.g. by welding)
2. When installing the pipe, fix pipe (6) in the Fixpoint clamps (3).
15
Version B: Pipe is installed yet
1. Screw the Fixpoint clamps (3) of the Fixpoint structure (1) on the pipe (6).
2. Straight the body material of the Fixpoint (1) and fix it with the supporting structure (2) (e.g. by welding).
3. Put the pressure pads (4) on the body material of the Fixpoint (1) and fix it pairwise with mounting clamps (5).
5. After succesful welding remove the mounting clamps (5). These are reusable.

1. Put the completely delivered SIMA-CON (1) onto the tube end or the formed part, up to the distance
ring (2). Fix it with the tensioning strap (3) (cross slot, SW 7, rec. tightening torque 2 Nm).
2. Sign the connecting pipe for the required plug-in module depth (4), if requested anoint it with antiseize to
simplify the insertion.
Attention: Do not use sharp-edged items. To pull out the opening journal just use a gripper.

e.g. TKN VdS/FM/UL M10 with pass hole safety lug S 5
z. B. TKN VdS/FM/UL for M10
For stationary sprinkler systems according to VdS a safety lug has to be used in connection with a beam clamp for
fixation on pipes > DN 50 mm. It should be noticed that beam clamps, suitable for pipes up to DN 65 only can be
mounted on beams with a bearing area, which differs less than 10° of the horizontal.
Clamps may only be loaded by vertical tension.
Construction examples are valid for beam clamps of cast iron and steel.

15
The glueing of the insulated pipe clamps with sound proofing, made of synthetic rubber or closed cell PE material can be
executed easily with the "MEFA assembling glue" see in chapter 6 (with test report K 970373).
Notice:
Insulated pipe clamp RG 80: lesser insulation thickness is recommended for the glueing with insulated connection interface
a) sealing via applying the frontsides completely with the assembling glue or
b) buildup the insulation at the connection field with the fitted insulation strips, to the insulation thickness of the PUR-field.
Cold insulation
Efficient cold insulation systems exist of a cell closed insulating material and avapour barriere which has to be completely coated with the insula-
ting material ( cold insulations depend on: ambient temparature, athmospheric moisture and medium temparature) and the supporting structure.
Vapour barrier
A vapour barrier according to AGI Q112 is a special coating to reduce the entering of dampness into the insulation material. It´s necessary for
cold insulations and has to be positioned on the warm side of the sound insulation.
Thermal bridges
Cold brigdes effectuate a local limited higher heat flow density comparing to the undisturbed insulation system. In these areas are the tempera-
tures of the surface higher and when cold insulated, condensate or ice can regenerate. There are differences between plant-specific limited (e.g.
pipe bracket) and insulation-specific thermal bridges (e.g. supporting structures). They can appear in containious distances or local singled.
