Transposing Instruments Exercises 1

This document provides exercises for transposing melodies and chords between various transposing instruments. It includes transposing examples from horn in F to piano, clarinet in A to clarinet in Bb, and transposing a melody down a major third. 1. Transpose the following melodies from and to various transposing instruments, including
chords when indicated (3 different exercises) :
a. Example: read as if written for Horn in F, write melody for piano
b. Example: read as if written for clarinet in A, write for clarinet in Bb
c. Example: read and transpose a major third down for register considerations
etc…

2. Do the following instruments play in unison or in another parallel interval, if not in unison
explain which other parallel interval (2 different exercises) ?
