SCOPE OF SUPPLY

1. One Unit assembly of Pressure Part Shell with Membrane Panel

- Pressure parts consisting of Shell and smoke tube assembly with necessary opening for
valves & fittings, man holes & hand holes, etc. as per IBR requirements, smoke
chamber with hinged door.
- Furnace consisting of water wall Membrane panel to accommodate Horizontal
Stationary Grate with necessary headers
- Ash settling chamber inside the furnace with access door
- Set of Cast iron Stationary Grates (High Chrome grate Bar for Imp. Coal only) with
grate bar supports
- Complete refractory (castable and brickwork) inside the furnace
- Pressure Part supporting structure with base frame
- Insulation to Boiler Shell, Membrane Panel, Riser and down comers, smoke chamber.
- Powder coated sheet metal panels to cover insulation

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
1. WATER
The performance parameters of the boiler under this offer are based on filtered and treated water
of the following quality being available

(i) FEED WATER (IS 10392 – 1982 and BS:2486 - 1964)

Total hardness as CaCO3 : < 5 ppm maximum


pH : 8.5 to 9.5
Oil Content : Not Detectable
Dissolved O2 : 0.05 ppm maximum
Total dissolved solids : 200 ppm maximum
Chlorine : < 50 ppm
Iron : NIL
Note:
a. TDS value indicated is the maximum permissible. However, based on the blow
down percentage, the allowable TDS should be worked out considering operating
economics.
b. Conditioning chemicals need to be added to keep hardness causing salts in
Suspension.

(ii) BOILER WATER (IS 10392 – 1982 and BS:2486 - 1964)

Total hardness as CaCO3 : Not Detectable


Total alkalinity : 700 ppm maximum
Caustic alkalinity : 300 ppm maximum
pH value : 11 to 12
Sodium Sulphite as Na2SO3 : 30 to 50 ppm
Hydrazine as N2H4 : 0.1 to 1 ppm
Phosphate as PO4 : 20 to 40 ppm
Silica as SiO2 : < 0.4 ppm of the caustic alkalinity
Oxygen (O2) : Nil
Total dissolved solids : 3000 ppm maximum

Note - To ensure above quality of water, a standard Base Exchange softener could be offered
which would be only tentative. To enable us to confirm the offer or submit an alternative offer to
meet the above requirements, it is essential we have either your sample of raw water or its
analysis

2. FUEL
The output and other performance parameters of the boiler specified in this offer hold good only
if fuel of the following specification is charged to the boiler. Any major variation in the
specifications of the fuel will alter the performance parameters.

SERVICES
SUPERVISION OF ERECTION & COMMISSIONING OF THE BOILER

- The boiler covered under this offer is dispatched from our factory as a single package
boiler and accessories. The IBR valves and mountings, panel box, ID fan, etc. are packed
separately in wooden case and dispatched with boiler. Unloading and assembling of the
total unit has to be done at site. The services of our erection engineer who would offer
guidance and supervision in this matter would be available at the charge mentioned in our
offer.

- The service charge payable to us inclusive of :


• Drawings: Unit General Arrangement and Terminal points, Foundation details
(not foundation design), Electrical wiring diagram, P&I diagram

• Documents: Instruction manual, IBR folder (at the time of dispatch)


• Assistance /Guidance: Selection of boiler house accessories, installation of these
accessories and IBR registration.
• Reasonable: For pre installation checks, receipts and assembly of boiler, no of
visits open inspection and hydraulic test and Commissioning.
• Training: For the purpose of user’s education for equipment, operation and
maintenance.

- The service charge payable to us is exclusive of:

• Labor (skilled and unskilled)


• Tools and tackles
• Utilities (including power, water, charcoal, fuel, compressed air oil/gas etc.)
• Consumables (which are to be supplied by the user, as and when required, for
unloading and assembling of the boiler, its accessories, mounting and fittings)

- This charge does not include any fees payable for IBR inspection of the boiler and its
accessories. All such charges are to be paid by the purchaser.

EXCLUSIONS

1. Main chimney, flue gas duct between HRU & PCE, PCE & ID fan, ID Fan & Chimney.

2. Raw water and soft water service tanks.

3. Steam, water and drain piping up to our terminal points.

4. All civil and structural work for installing the boiler.

5. Electrical works (Power and Control Cables) in boiler house up to our terminal points.

6. Labor, tools and tackles, utilities (water, power, air, gas, etc.) and consumables required
for assembling, erecting and commissioning the boiler.

7. Spares for installation, operation and maintenance of boiler.

8. Water treatment plant.

9. Fuel, water, instruments and accessories for commissioning, operation and for
performance testing of boiler.

10. Insulation for ducting and feed piping, wherever required.

11. Any other items not specifically mentioned in our offer.

2. Excise and Duties

All taxes and duties shall charge at the rates prevailing at the time of delivery.

1) Excise Duty - @ 12.5% extra
2) Sales Tax - VAT 12.5% or 2% against
Form C, as applicable
C) Octroi/LBT - To Your Account
D) Freight & Insurance - Extra in your scope
E) Transit insurance - To Your Account

3. Delivery
Delivery will be 12 - 14 weeks from the effective date as defined above.

4. Payment Terms

§ 30% of order value as advance along with the LOI or purchase order
§ Balance of 70% against PI prior to dispatch inclusive taxes and duties
