Brief Bio‐data:
Vipan Kakkar received the BE degree in electronics engineering from Nagpur University, India; post‐graduation
from Bradford University, UK, in 1997, and doctorate from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. He
worked at Phillips, the Netherlands, as R&D engineer and system architect in various System‐on‐Chip projects for 8
years. Since 2009, he has been faculty with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Shri
Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, India. His research interests include nanotechnology, ultra low‐power analog
and mixed signal design, microelectromechanical systems design, synthesis and optimization of digital circuits,
biomedical system and implants design, and audio and video processing. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and
Life Member of the ISTE and has served as an Executive Council Member of IEEE, Delhi, India, and has published
many research papers in peer‐reviewed journals and international conferences. He has delivered expert lectures in
Industry and institutes in Netherlands, Germany, UK and India.
