    Define Sorting Rules:


    Identification of a transfer order sorting rule within warehouse order processing.

    You enter the criteria according to which warehouse order creation should sort a list of WTs within a
    warehouse order.

    QUAN-Quantity, Source Storage Type, Pick Path

    WEGH-Weight, Quantity, Pick Path

    3.Define Limit Values for the size of a WO:


    In this Customizing activity, you can define the size of a warehouse order. This means that you restrict the
    number of items in the warehouse order.

    ZLMT--Consolidation Groups—max weight 7,000 LB (QUAN Assigned)

    ZSLM--Consolidation Groups – Samples—max weight 2,345 LB (WEGH Assigned)

    4.Define Packing Profile for WO creation:


    This enables you to control how warehouse order creation determines pick-handling units for a warehouse
    order. The system uses the data from the warehouse tasks (WTs) of a warehouse order (such as weight,
    volume, or dimensions) in order to perform this determination. It compares this data with the possible
    packaging materials and determines the number and category of the required pick-handling units. In
    addition to these values, when determining the pick-handling units, the system also considers the following
    additional values from your definition of limit values for the size of a warehouse order

     Storage Process Step:

    Storage Process step is nothing but a warehouse operation which you perform as part of your
    complex Put-away or Removal process. For example, deconsolidation, quality inspection.

    EWM has pre-defined internal steps for most of the standard warehouse operations.

    You need to define an external step as a process step and assign it to the Internal Process
    Step.

    You need to maintain Storage Control for each Storage Process Step which is used to
    determine destination bin.

    Inbound Process

    A goods receipt process may contain the storage process steps for unloading and putaway.
    If you were to receive loose items in small quantities, you usually would not configure an unloading step. If
    you expect huge trucks to arrive with a large amount of pallets for unloading and you want the unloading to
    be performed by warehouse tasks, you would define the unloading storage process step in your storage
    process.

    Outbound process:

    A goods issue process may contain the storage process steps for stock removal, packing, staging, and
    loading.

     Process-Oriented Storage Control determines the internal routing based on the


    processes to be carried out within the warehouse before put-away or after removal.

     For this, you need to maintain the Storage Process. Storage Process is a


    combination of Process Steps in a sequential order which is part of your complex Put-
    away or Removal process.
     Process-Oriented Storage Control only works with Handling Units.
     To setup process-oriented storage control we need to set up Process Steps in
    sequential order for each storage Process.

    For Put-away, you can enter Process Steps in the following sequence

     Unload
     Count
     Deconsolidate
     Quality Inspection
     Perform Value-Added Services
     Put-away

    For Removal, you can enter Process Steps in the following sequence –
     Remove from Stock (Pick)
     Perform Value-Added Services
     Pack
     Stage
     Load
