    METHOD OF STATEMENT
    SURVEY WORKS

    1.0 General:

    Check survey worked is carried out to determine the accuracy of the initial survey done by TNB
    surveyor prior to commencement of physical activities on site. The check survey workers will be done
    into four (4) separate checks or activities.

    2.0 Work Plan:

    a. The routes and/or its profile are identified and verified before setting out for the survey works.
    b. Survey equipment is checked and the calibration is verified valid.
    c. Permit, if required, is still valid

    3.0 Setting Out:

    a. The starting point is identified and the line of sight is confirmed


    b. The direction of the survey is clearly noted and cleared where necessary.
    c. All relevant data shall be properly recorded during the whole of survey works.

    4.0 Survey Procedure:

    a. The survey equipment is assembled and placed at the starting point.


    b. The survey is carried out as per the required specification.
    c. The survey is repeated at every subsequent point along the route and/or profile and all data duly
    recorded
    d. The distances are peg accordingly and where necessary, at the tower positions along the route
    and/or the angle points, the pegging shall be done with clear and/or larger pegs and the marking of
    the position shall be done prominently.
    e. Any discrepancy found shall be noted and the survey has to be backtracked and/or forward -
    tracked to confirm the divergence.
    f. All route information and data shall be properly recorded and kept. The relevance and/or
    significance of the data shall later be confirmed and verified by the Engineers.

    5.0 Check the coordinate of the said line alignment against the initial survey done:

    a. The route and/or its profile are identified and verified before setting out for the survey works.
    b. Survey equipment is checked and the calibration is verified valid.
    c. Permit, if required, is still valid.

    6.0 Check the topography of the line covering the nature of terrain, road and highway crossing, pipe line
    crossing, electrical wire crossing, telephone lines, pipe line crossing (gas/ water), streams or rivers,
    transmission line crossing, homes, ponds and etc.

    7.0 Spot the tower locations along the line with reference to the topographic and alignment survey data
    obtain as above.

    a. The starting point is identified and the line of sight is confirmed.


    b. The direction of the survey is clearly noted and cleared where necessary.
    c. All relevant data shall be properly recorded during the whole survey works.

    8.0 Then, to undertake cross profile survey on all four legs of the tower. The cross profile survey is to
    determine the actual ground condition of the individual tower legs for leg selection purposes.
