Florence Face Sanitizer Production Company, Saferra is a licensed face sanitizer production
company that will be located in Tejgaon Industrial Area for factory and Mohakhali as
corporate office. We have been able to secure three years lease for a facility in a strategic
location with an option of a long – term renewal on terms and conditions that are favourable
to us. The facility has government approval for the kind of production business we want to
run and the facility is easily accessible.
Florence Face Sanitizer Production Company, Saferra is taking the chance of gel based face
sanitizer to introduce in market as research says gel-based sanitizers generated the maximum
revenue. We are also in the business to make profits and at the same time to give our
customers value for their money.
There is several hand sanitizer production companies scattered all around the world but for
sanitizing face we are the first. We have monopoly advantage to run the business in this
industry and to achieve our desired goal. We have spent time and resources to conduct our
research and market survey. We made sure to focus on all the important factors and cover
them for research because we know that our customers are the reason why we are in business
which is why we will go the extra mile to get them satisfied when they purchase our face
sanitizers.
Florence contains Glycerine, Aloe Vera, Benzalkonium Chloride, rose water, Distal Water,
Essence (lemon oil) and Fragrance. These are the basic ingredients for our face sanitizer and
all of them have different purpose for their presence in the sanitizer. We are introducing three
sizes for Florence- 50 ML, 100 ML and 150 ML. We are offering three categories of product-
Florence Pink for ladies, Florence Blue for Gents and Florence Purple for minor or kids. Both
Florence Pink and Blue has their dry and oily version.
This industry revenue has experienced healthy growth, rising from an annualized 3.9 percent
to $74.4 million over the five years to 2020, including an increase of 16.6 percent in 2020
alone due to heightened demand as a result of the recent COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.
In Bangladesh, there are few local and multinational companies and suppliers who are
involved in this industry and manufacturing and distributing hand sanitizers. Considering all
these fact we came up with the idea of face sanitizer because we believe not only hands but
also face is equally important to be clean and germ free. Another important reason that
supports this idea could be, Bangladesh is a country where labour and quality raw material
for face sanitizer is very much available and affordable. Based on all these factors we made
solid plan for marketing purpose.
Florence face Sanitizer Production Company, Saferra will be focusing on all classes of
residents from all area no matter urban or rural for its target market but commonly our target
market will be will be people who are working out and students including men, women and
kids. We do not have any direct competitors but there are substitute products in market.
Companies who are already selling hand sanitizer, face products and wet wipes can be our
indirect competitors.
The marketing plan must be a succinct, comprehensible, and carefully planned that serves as
a direction through the marketing plan (Kotler, 2008). Our primary objective is to give
maximum benefits to our customers and satisfying customers and by that obtain maximum
share of market. And in large scale we focus on continuous innovation of our product and
stay market leader. We are going to take various marketing strategies to grab market and to
create product awareness to costumers. We are already planned with our action plans that will
be taken to increase our sales and all will be done step by step.
Initially we have conducted a survey to justify the probability of the product and took options
from consumers and tried to know their need and desire. Then we have developed proto type
product and tested in our laboratory. After successful testing we developed demo and testing
it through few individuals and after getting desire results, we finally decide to develop
Florence sanitizer. We have very talented individuals who will work as Research and
development team and they will be working in laboratory to improve product quality and
continuous innovation of Florence face sanitizer.
For manufacturing our face sanitizer we will be using two machines in the plant. One of them
is brand new and other one is second hand. Total worth of them is taka 2 lac. Our face
sanitizer manufacturing mixer & liquid filling machines are designed to meet the changing
needs of the Face Sanitizer industry. Other equipment we will be needing are Face sanitizer
pot (Mixer), Mixing preparation pot, Transfer pump, Working platform, Operating control
Panels and relevant filters, pipes and valves. The Face sanitizer Manufacturing Plant with
Main pot Mixer and Face sanitizer production line are manufactured and installed by our
company strictly accordance with the high standards.
Our Start-up Business will be a Partnership business consist of Five Partners. We will be
following Partnership Act, 1932, (the “Partnership Act”) to establish our business entity
Saferra. All five partners of Saferra are board of directors and head of the five departments
and will get equal salary. Profit will be distributed equally.

III. Business Description Segment
Starting up a business is not an easy task; it requires the translation of an idea into reality
and requires discipline and a clear goal setting. Keeping that in mind, we want to
introduce our company named Saferra that will ensure safe and eco-friendly products for
male, female and minor.
Initially the company will launch face sanitizer called Florence which is a supplement or
alternative to face washing with soap, face wash, cleanser and water for the people who
work outside. It can be carried and used easily. As this product is new in market, the
company will do monopoly business at least for a year.
Mission
Our mission is to create safest and highest quality product for skin care by using pure,
eco-friendly and natural ingredients only for our customer so that they can use it in their
daily lives and can save time.
Vision
After successfully launching the business we will continue our research and development.
Our vision is to expand our business not only locally but globally. To sustain the business
we want to introduce vast range of antibacterial and antiviral skin products and leave a
new meaning to the skin care industry.
Values
Bangladesh is a country where students and working people suffers from antibacterial or
antiviral facial skin problem because of climate, dust and pollution. We want to solve this
problem and save their time from washing face again and again with water. We want to
offer quality products which are available to our customer. Our commitment is to
relentlessly research on how we can deliver better products to our customer with change
of time and demand. We will also ensure no harm will cause to animals or environment
while producing our face sanitizer.
B. Our Products
Our products are totally new products which are basically face sanitizers, named
‘Florence’. Businesses in the Sanitizer Manufacturing industry are involved in the
manufacturing hand sanitizers in a variety of forms, including gel, foam, wipes and
liquid. Hand sanitizers and hand antiseptics are alternatives to hand washing with soap
and water. From that perspective, our products are new to this industry.
Gel-based sanitizers generated the maximum revenue in 2016, as they are easily available
in the market and require lesser time to effectively eradicate germs as compared to spray
and other sanitizers. However, foam-based sanitizers are expected to grow at the highest
rate, owing to the fact that foam hand sanitizers immediately cling to hands while
applying. In addition, foam pumps are relatively smaller than gel or spray pumps, and
hence provide a convenient option to the consumers, so for Face sanitizer we will take the
chance of gel based face sanitizer to introduce in market.
Florence contains Glycerine, Aloe Vera, Benzalkonium Chloride, rose water, Distal Water,
Essence (lemon oil) and Fragrance. These are the basic ingredients for our face sanitizer and
all of them have different purpose for their presence in the sanitizer. We are offering three
categories of product- Florence Pink for ladies, Florence Blue for Gents and Florence Purple
for minor or kids. Both Florence Pink and Blue has their dry and oily version. We are
introducing three sizes for Florence- 50 ML, 100 ML and 150 ML so that it can be a travel
friendly product for our customer. For first year we are launching 150ml size. If we get
enough response from our customer then we will execute our secondary plan which is based
on customer demand we have plan for re-launching the new size which are 50ml and 100ml.
C. Company History
Research conducted by IBIS World shows that in the United States of America, over the
five years to 2019, the Hand Sanitizer Manufacturing industry has experienced healthy
growth, with total industry revenue expected to rise. This growth can largely be attributed
to heightened consumer health consciousness over the past five years leading to a rise in
total health expenditure.
Additionally, a renewed focus on product marketing from operators has contributed to
revenue growth during the five-year period. However, this heightened interest in hand
sanitizers has paved the way for increased competition among industry players. This
industry revenue has experienced healthy growth, rising from an annualized 3.9 percent to
$74.4 million over the five years to 2020, including an increase of 16.6 percent in 2020
alone due to heightened demand as a result of the recent COVID-19 (coronavirus)
outbreak.
In Bangladesh, there are few local and multinational companies and suppliers who are
involved in this industry and manufacturing and distributing hand sanitizers. Considering
all these fact we came up with the idea of face sanitizer because we believe not only
hands but also face is equally important to be clean and germ free. Another important
reason that supports this idea could be, Bangladesh is a country where labour and quality
raw material for face sanitizer is very much available and affordable. Keeping all these in
mind, we are here to make profits and also to give our customers value for their money.
D. Goals
We always need goals to move forward. Every successful plan need few goals to achieve
its desired position and to grow. Some of our goals are listed below-
Our main goal is to establish a standard face sanitizer production company whose
products will be available in every corner of Bangladesh.
After successfully meeting local demand we will try to expand our business
globally.
We will continue to research and develop our product so that we can come up
with new products to meet new demand.
E. Uniqueness
As Florence is a new product in market, so our product itself is very unique. But still,
compare to other sanitizers we have some uniqueness, which are-
We are offering different flavours depending on different skin types in our
sanitizers.
Florence contains moisturizing elements so that after using it on face one does not
need any moisturizer and easily can save time.
This face sanitizer will work for both antibacterial and antiviral problems on skin
and will kill 99% germs.
IV. Marketing Segment
A. Market Research
The Market for usual sanitizer size was valued at 919 million in 2016 to reach 1,755
million by 2023, and is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 9.9% from 2017 to 2023.
Sanitizer is an antiseptic solution, which is used as an alternative to soap and water. It is
used to prevent the transmission of infection, which is majorly caused through hand
transmission, further causing several diseases such as nosocomial food-borne illness and
others.
According to the latest trends as released by IBIS World, their analysts constantly
monitor the industry impacts of current events in real-time – here is an update of how this
industry is likely to be impacted as a result of the global pandemic: Revenue growth for
the Sanitizer Manufacturing industry has been adjusted from 1.9 percent to 40 percent in
2020 due to rapidly surging demand and the pandemic and there is high demand of a Face
Sanitizer in market because the whole world is now getting extra careful over their
hygiene and safeguard.
Since many upstream chemical products are manufactured in China, the industry’s
purchase costs are expected to fluctuate, leading to unsteady profit margins. Additionally,
a sharp downturn in the world price of crude oil is expected to further reduce purchase
costs.
Large manufacturers in this industry, We have so many leading Companies like ACI
Pharmaceuticals is now leading the market, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Reckitt
Benckiser, P&G, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Carew and Co. and other industries, have
announced plans to produce sanitizers in response to rapidly increasing demand of Hand
sanitizer and they also thinking of introduce the innovation to cover all the safety not only
just hand sanitizing and here we can see the era of Face Sanitizer. Manufacturers are
likely to prioritize supplies for institutional customers, particularly healthcare providers,
over retail locations.
When it comes to selling Face sanitizers, there is indeed a wide range of available
customers. Florence face sanitizer will be focusing on all classes of residents from all
area no matter urban or rural for its target market. Though all ages of people can use
Florence, but if we mention specifically then it will be people who are working out
and students including men, women and kids.
According to our market survey, the target customers prefer to buy Face sanitizer
once in a week, as we have different sizes with affordable ranges. We will strive to
establish a reputable image by offering excellent quality and newly invented product
which nowadays people think as necessity. It kills 99% germs and has anti-viral
particles in it, which make Florence a unique one. By always focusing on meeting or
exceeding our customer’s needs, wants and expectations, we will be able to build
customer loyalty and word-of-mouth sales that many of our competitors are lacking.
Our future planning is to distribute our newly invented face sanitizer locally if
possible globally as well. As this is a start-up business and we need to work on our
investment, branding and cost cutting system that is why initially we will be focusing
on raw and daily users which can be outgoing people, school going kids, university
students and working people. With the growth of our business in future which is
estimated to grow 45% in 2022 according to present market scenario and estimation
we can exhibit our full planning of target market. The user ratio of sanitizer has risen
from 40% to 90% so our product will be best fit for present market as well as
situation.
2. Competition
Competition in business is the contest or rivalry among the companies selling similar
products and or targeting the same target customer to get more sales, increase
revenue, and gain more market share as compared. From that point, we are running
monopoly business as our product is unique and there is no other face sanitizer
company yet in Bangladesh and other global countries so we don’t have any direct
competitors.
Though we do not have any direct competitors but there are substitute products in
market. Companies who are already selling hand sanitizer, face products and wet
wipes can be our indirect competitors. They can easily produce our product and sell
them to their existing customers. It will be hard competing if they enter our market.
ACI currently is the most profited hand Sanitizer Company as they are selling Savlon
hand sanitizer and wet wipes. Carew & co (Bangladesh) ltd. has recently declared that
they are going to sell hand sanitizer pretty soon. Other large competitors can be
established and branded pharmaceutical or other company such as- Square, Reckitt
Benckiser, P&G, Incepta, and Renata pharmaceutical company etc. A pharmaceutical
company already has the research about anti-bacterial skin care. For these reasons we
need to be very careful about the quality of the product and be very creative about our
strategies.
B. Marketing Plan
A marketing plan for the product is a must for any business. Its aim is to increase the
profit of the business. The strategic marketing and marketing plan both fit combined
and both are important for the success of a consumer good company (Roman, 2004).
Without marketing plan, corporations can become unsure in marketing attempts. The
aim of the marketing plan is to support consumer good company reach their goals of
marketing. The marketing plan must be a succinct, comprehensible, and carefully
planned that serves as a direction through the marketing plan (Kotler, 2008). It must
concentrate on the aim of the marketing and the goal to perform that aim.
a. Market Situation
In Bangladesh pollution is the one of major concern matter for people, dust, smoke is
ever where and in our busy life we have little or almost no time to take care of our
face specially when we are outside or in our work place. In current situation where
safety from virus or bacteria is a major issue for us with instant time we present face
sanitizer in Bangladesh which will help to clean and kill bacteria or virus from the
face instantly. Since there is no other company in Bangladesh producing such kind of
product so we have the opportunity to capture huge market. Initially we launch our
product for working class people and students and try to cover others as well. Mainly
we focus on urban areas and gradually we moving forward to rural area also. As we
are doing Monopoly business so we don’t have any close competitors but we need to
be aware of other sanitizer companies or the skin care companies if they are interested
in this market.
b. Product situation
Florence Blue: Florence Blue is for male. We are using mint flavour for dry skin and
cucumber for oily skin. As most of the men spend their maximum time outside and
they have rough skin compare to women. So our sanitizer will be work for prevent
antibacterial and recover the skin health.
Florence Purple: Florence Purple is basically for minor. Children skin is very
sensitive and mostly suffers bacterial or viral infection. For that reason we are using
fruits essence which is blue berry.
c. Competition Situation
d. Distribution Situation
For distribution we use direct and indirect both channels and our distribution channels
are;
- Supermarket
- Pharmacy and drug
- Department store
- Direct Selling
- Beauty salons
- E Commerce
-Others (shopping club, retail stores)
Facial Sanitizer Gel
8 District
2. SWOT Analysis
Strengths:
- Focuses on small portion of market which can restrict possible extend in future.
- Difficult to create awareness in rural area.
Opportunities:
3. Objective
Our primary objective is to give maximum benefits to our customers and satisfying
customers and by that obtain maximum share of market. And in large scale we focus on
continuous innovation of our product and stay market leader.
4. Market strategies
We take various marketing strategies to grab market and to create product awareness
to costumers and strategies which are given below-
b. Price: Different price for different Bottle. Our Regular 50 ml price 100
taka, medium 100 ml 150 TK and Large 150 Ml 180 taka. We offer
affordable price for everyone.
c. Place: Initially we focus on urban areas and try to reach maximum
numbers of shop though our best distribution team.
d. Promotion: As Saferra is a new company in Bangladesh and Florence is
our first product, so we are careful about our promotion strategies. We will
promote our product with couple of celebrities and use social media
platforms and other tools like mass media, word of mouth, peer group
review etc.
Branding Strategy: Branding is one of the important parts of Marketing. To survive in
the market creating awareness and increasing sales brand value helps a lot. As we are
new in market so we need to leverage our brand and to leverage our product we will
try to engage Bangladesh cricket team superstar Mushfiqur Rahim to Leverage our
brand. And another branding Strategy we take to tag our brand with number one
brand in Bangladesh because everyone wants to stay with number one.
5. Action Programs
Various actions will be taken to increase our sales and all will be done step by step.
Initially we will promote our product through social media and leaflets to create social
awareness towards product and how to use this product and then we going to launch
our product through mass media and for that we will make contract with Bangladesh
cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim to endorse our product and he will be the brand
ambassador for Florence, the first face sanitizer in Bangladesh. It will also easy to
reach people through celebrity because they are the people who have face value and
people trust them easily. Our professional Marketing team promote brand through
different events and programs. A big launch ceremony will be conducted to introduce
Florence sanitizer and celebrities and mass media, reporters and couple of social
influencers will be invited to join this launching ceremony. Approximately, we have
decided to invest 5 lakh taka to complete all this activities. As we are new company
so we decide to do massive marketing activities to reach maximum amount of people.
6. Controls
Control is the process of monitoring proposed plan and taking necessary action where
it required. As we have different marketing strategies so cautiously we monitor our
marketing programs. For mass media and social media our digital marketing team
coordinate all works if any improvise action required they will monitor that and take
necessary steps. For celebrity and events or programs our core marketing team of
three members will be monitoring all activities, they will work to control all activities
and balance budget so we stay in limit. For ads and others Branding, team of another
three members will take care of all activities. To reach every sanitizer bottle to its own
destination our distribution team will be working and a supervisor assign to monitor
all activities and coordinate with all channels. And finally our efficient sales team will
be working to maximize our sales and provide best service to achieve the goal.
As world pollution increases every day and our city recently claimed to be the number
one spot in world pollution ranking and this pollution not only harmful for nature but
also for human body and skin. In our fast paced life, we are so busy with our work
and social life. We have little or almost no time to take care of our face. And
considering this major issue we have developed such a product which can give instant
germs free face. Initially we have conducted a survey to justify the probability of
product and take options from consumers and try knows their needs and desires. Then
we develop proto type product and test in our laboratory after successful testing we
Developed demo and testing it through few individuals and after getting desire results,
we finally decide to develop Florence sanitizer.
We are developing different kinds of product for different individuals; male, female
and children. We are also offering different category like, one for oily skin, one for
dry skin and for sensitive skin. To consider consumers different test and desires we
offer different flavours and colours, for men, blue bottles with cucumber and mint
flavour. For women, pink bottle with rose water and aloe vera flavour. For children
we have purple bottle with blue berry flavour. We design our bottles in different size,
50 ml travel size, 100 ml regular size and 150 ml saver size. We are offering very
affordable price which is only 200 taka for our saver size (150 ml).
In this dynamic world where consumer’s needs and desires are changing frequently, we might
face challenges to meet those needs and desire if we do not know what they want and to solve
this matter we have Research and development team and they will be working in laboratory
to improve product quality and working for continuous innovation of Florence face sanitizer.
The research refers to the overall strategy that can be chosen to integrate the different
components of the study in a logical way ensuring an effective way to the research
problem. It is mainly the blueprint for the collection, measurement and analysis of
data. To conduct our research we will be using two methods, which are the following-
a. Exploratory Research: For this research we obtain all the necessary data
through different journals, newspaper and others sources and examine all data
to identify possibility of our product.
Data obtain methods: total 200 different individuals involved in this survey
and we will obtain data from them through questionnaire. Primary data can be
obtained from previous similar survey results and different journals,
newspaper or social media etc. Individuals ask through a questionnaire and we
will use scale methods to obtain answers.
Sample area and size: Our total sample size is 200 and we obtain data from all
different cities in Bangladesh.
Sampling: From 200 surveys 120 are from working class people, 50 from
students and 20 from non-working people.
C. Cost structure
To conduct Research and Develop proto type and demo product we need to estimate
our cost so that we can balance company budget. Estimate costing essential for perfect
planning.
For conducting Research we estimate taka 1 lac.
For developing Proto type and Lab testing we estimate taka 5 lac..
A. Location Analysis
For manufacturing the sanitizer we have taken lease for three years to establish full
factory setup at Tejgaon Industrial Area. We have already taken a floor for our corporate
office at Mohakhali with monthly basis rent. For the future, we have plan for taking our
own floor. Our Warehouse is on Tejgaon Industrial area, inside the factory, so it will be
cost effective when we will stock or transfer our final product Florence Face Sanitizer to
our ware house according to demand. We have also prepared the documents required to
get the license of manufacturing purpose and permission from the authority to start and
continue the production.
1. Machine Components:

This sanitizer closely emulates the commercial kind, without all the chemicals and
without the bad smell. Face sanitizer should not replace Face washing; just use it
when we really need it for prevent bacteria. Here's what we'll need:
Step-2
Mix the Benzalkonium Chloride and aloe vera gel in the bowl:
Pour the materials into the bowl and use the spoon to mix them together well. The
mixture should be completely smooth. Though the skin type is different for that here
we use different type materials on the basis of skin type, gender and baby skin basis.
Procedure to go mixer:
Step-3
Add it one drop at a time, stirring as we go. After about 8 drops, smell the mixture to
see whether we like the scent. If it seems strong enough, stop there. If we like a
stronger scent, add a few more drops. This rose essential oil not only for fragrance but
also we are using it for oily skin. In every step distal water is very crucial raw
materials. Rose essential oil will be used for female oily skin.
Step-4
At first place the funnel over the mouth of the container and pour the Face sanitizer
in. Fill it up, after that screw on the lid until we're ready to use it.
A small squirt bottle works well if we want to carry the sanitizer with we throughout
the day.
If we make too much for the bottle, save the leftover sanitizer in a jar with a tightly-
fitted lid.
Method 2-Regular

Step-2
Stir together the aloe vera gel, lemon oil, glycerine and mint gel:
If the mixture seems too thin, add another spoonful of aloe vera to thicken it. If it's too

Primarily we will distribute over 1,100 units of Face sanitizer. After production we will
transfer our final product sanitizer to our warehouse. Then the final goods will be always
ready for distribution according to demand. The distance between warehouse & Manufacture
plant is very near. So it will be very cost effective.
The Distribution costing is mentioned below-
Our primary focus is still distributing to First Responders and Healthcare Providers.
We have not yet reached the end of those lists and we continue to receive additional requests
from First Responders and Healthcare Providers daily.
We hope to begin distributing to Essential Service businesses and organizations.
We hope that at first month we can begin to full fill requests for groups beyond First
Responders, Healthcare Providers, and Critical/Essential Service businesses and
organizations.
Raw Materials:
We have received a total of 5 drums of fragrance and other ingrediences. This allowed
us to make 2000 pcs of face sanitizer.
We will receive a delivery of 4 drums of distal water next month.
After striking out with our current vendors for sourcing large amounts of alcohol, we
finally connected with a broker that can provide us.

A. Financial Forecast
The source to repay the loan will be the cash flow generated from operations. The company
will also finance growth through cash flow. After an initial period of five years, the company
will be able to make a further expansion. At that time, it is envisioned that a bank loan or
equity funding will be sought to finance the new development, in addition to retained
earnings.
The projected financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the general
accounting principles, and necessarily include some amounts that are based on reasonable
estimates and judgment. Inventory is accounted for based on the First-In, First-Out (FIFO)
method. The following sections outline important financial information.
1.Projected Profit and Loss and Income for the first year
We expect to be profitable in the first year of operations, with profits increasing through the
1st year, as we establish and increase our customer base. The following table and charts show
the projected profit and loss for the 1st year.
Fig- Projected income Statement for the first year of production
Fig: Projected total sales and profit for the first year of production
Many profitable companies go bankrupt because of cash flow deficiencies. That is why our
main concern will be to have sufficient cash on hand to meet our payment obligations, and be
prepared for unexpected needs of cash. Our conservative projections indicate that our
business is able to generate positive cash flows and sufficient cash reserves. In addition to
normal cash inflows and outflows, we will focus on establishing sufficient cash reserves for
contingencies.
That may include a possible line of credit with our bank and that could be used in slow sales
periods as well. This is a good way to control the cash flow risk.
3.Break-even Analysis
For our break-even analysis, we assume running costs of approximately Tk1720000 per
month, which include payroll, utilities, rent and other fixed and variable costs. We need to
sell about 3877units of sanitizers for minimum Tk1729766 per month to break even, based on
our assumptions. Since our normal operating capacity is approximately 1111 units per day,
and the average projected sales of Tk6666600 per month. Which is greater than the computed
break-even point, we believe that our company is likely to easily reach and maintain
profitability. Saferra is expected to break even in 1st month of operations.

4. Cost control
According to Bloomberg, 8 out of 10 small businesses fail within the first 18 months. While
most entrepreneurs focus on increasing sales, lowering expenses is equally important when
trying to achieve or maintain profitability. To reduce expenses, we’ll focus on the
components of the variable cost. By opting for some simple activities we’ll try to reduce
those expenses. With the steps taken by the employees we can reduce some of the variable
expenses effectively.
B. Sources of Funds
For the sources of fun, Saferra will receive investments from its 5 investors who will be
consisted of the directors of the company. The start-up capital will be used for legal
expenses, inventory and equipment, packing and other materials, rent, promotion,
business sign, and inventory on hand at start-up, as detailed in the company summary
section of this plan.
We have estimated total start-up costs of Taka 2500000.The five investors, as co-owners,
will provide the bulk of start-up financing in the amount of Taka 500000 each.
For the remaining Taka 1880000 additional financing needed to cover the start of
production, the company plans to receive a three-year term commercial loan facility
which will meet the cash flow requirements. The borrowed funds will be used exclusively
for payroll and other expenses except the core startup expenses. The loan could be repaid
in equal monthly instalments over a three-year period. Our cash-flow analysis
demonstrates the company's ability to repay the loan and meet the interest payment
obligations, while maintaining adequate liquidity and generating positive cash flow, and
sufficient cash reserves for unforeseen future events.
C. Budgeting plans
In the previous data we have analysed the projected amounts for sales, profit and net
income. For the revenue the total for the first year is projected to be Taka 81600000.
With this revenue we expect to achieve a positive cash flow throughout the year. This
revenue will be generated by selling 413000 units of product. As for the fixed cost, it
will include the factory lease payments, bank EMI payment, legal expense, salary of
the employees, marketing, utilities and few other miscellaneous costs. We have
projected to have a fixed cost of Taka 1609000 per month. The variable cost will
include raw materials, inventory, production costs, packaging, or shipping and for
these the variable cost will be Taka 292000 per month approximately. For the startup
cost we have projected a sum of Taka 3000000 which will be used to purchase the
raw materials and machinery, to pay for the legal permits needed for the business, for
marketing and advertising events etc. The net income is projected to be Taka
42073500 at the end of first year. With the profit that we will acquire in the first year
will be used to expand the business in the next year.
