Building a strong cybersecurity
infrastructure in the New Normal
November 25-27, 2020,
Chisinau, Moldova
ABOUT MOLDOVA CYBER WEEK
Launched in 2012, “Moldova Cyber Week” (MCW) is an advanced intra-regional cyber security
event held annually under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and
organized by the Information Technology and Cyber Security Service and Technical
University of Moldova.

“Moldova Cyber Week” is dedicated to stakeholders working as part of the cybersecurity

ecosystem and experiencing cyber threats on a day to day basis. The MCW ensures
information and knowledge sharing among leading experts, policy makers, industry experts
and the academia. The goal of MCW is to discuss main challenges related to cybersecurity,
share experiences, exchange ideas, good practices, and build trust between the cyber
community and the citizens. MCW is an opportunity to promote proper response to cyber
threats and foster cooperation among cyber professionals. Within the “Moldova Cyber Week”
we will discuss where we stand, what can be done, and share good practices, implemented
solutions and initiatives with partners and experts.

MISSION
At the “Moldova Cyber Week”, our mission is to create an open dialog between the countries
from the region and the international community, which will share their needs and views, in
order to create potentially new measures, legal frameworks, consolidating the necessary
mutual trust between the Public and Private decision - makers the inter-governmental policy
advisors and the strategic partners. In the midst of this global strategic puzzle, the event aims
to help understand today’s security reality by presenting condensed information in the regions
and issues in the cyberspace. The event represents new thinking on how to shield your
organization for a secure digital transformation and it aims to produce a multi-stakeholder
consortium that brings together International Community, Government, Industry and
Academic interests in an effort to improve the state of cyber security on both national and
international level.
Building a strong cybersecurity infrastructure in the New Normal
The year 2020 and the impact of COVID-19 has made organizations adopt multiple
technologies such as Cloud, Mobility, Internet of Things (IoT) and this has opened up a
whole new avenue for cyber threats and crimes. Year 2020 has demanded a
comprehensive, integrated and critical approach at addressing the cyber security
challenges and all that taking into account the remote environment of working.
The “Moldova Cyber Week” shall objectively address these challenges in the realm of
national and regional contexts and explore further the challenges posed by cyber security in
the age of the ‘New Normal’.

The ‘Moldova Cyber Week’ presents an active participation platform, that integrates
enlightening keynotes, in-depth panel discussions, networking opportunities, Q&A sessions
and deep dives into actionable insights that strengthens cybersecurity strategies for the
future. We are excited and look forward to your active participation over three intensive days
where the attendees will get the opportunity to watch online the 8th edition of “Moldova
