HEY MOMMA!
I get it!

You're a stay at home mom

surviving off dry shampoo and
fruit snacks who is looking for
something that you can do just
for YOU! Something to fill that
space inside that longs to be
more than "just" a mom.
Something that you can build
all yourself and succeed in, all
while you raise your littles from
home.

I remember being in that exact same position. I was a new mom who
was so grateful to be able to stay home and raise my baby, but after my
husband started his journey towards his dream career, I remember
feeling so jealous of what he had.

I didn't want to sacrifice being a stay at home mom but I also wanted
more! I wanted something to fill that void in me that wanted to be
successful in something other than "just" motherhood.

Then in the fall of 2016 I found THAT thing! I remember stumbling upon a
blog post from a mom who shared how she made a full time income
while at home with her kids by blogging and the rest is history.

I started my blog within a week, and that space in me that so wanted

something of my own was full! I went from "just" a mom to a

5
momtrepreneur who was raising babies and making money during nap
time.

Now I am focused on helping other moms do the same by starting their

own profitable blogs, transforming them from a mom to a
momtrepreneur in the time they have during nap time! You ready?

ABOUT THE WORKBOOK

This ebook/workbook will not only teach you what to do next in those first
30 days after your new blog goes live, but it will show you how to do it
and in what order. And by the time you've made it all the way through
this guide, you’ll have conquered your first month blogging and have a
clear understanding of how to grow your blog, how to start monetizing it,
and an action plan for the future.

This ebook/workbook includes the essential tasks you should accomplish

your first month blogging and splits them up day by day so you can
accomplish all of them in the next 30 days with the time you have during
nap time.

In preparation for this ebook/workbook, I surveyed 100 moms of littles and

found that the average nap time span was between 2 to 2.5 hours.
Therefore each day includes one task that can be completed in about 2
hours or less.

This means that if you have more than 2 hours a day to dedicate to your
blog, you can finish all of these tasks faster than 30 days! So don’t be
afraid to complete more than one task a day if you have the time! Just
keep going and complete each task at your own pace whether that be
faster or slower than the ebook/workbook has outline.

6
Blogging is not, I repeat NOT, a race. So work at your own pace!

BUT BEFORE YOU START…

Before you start this ebook/workbook you have to actually have a blog
first! So if you haven’t already, go through each step I’ve listed in my Start
a Blog During Nap Time Guide & Checklist until your blog is up and live.

If your blog is already live, be sure that you have at least completed
each of these tasks listed below before you start this workbook:

• You’ve chosen a niche, what you’re going to blog about.

• You picked a name.
• Purchases your domain and hosting.
• Installed Wordpress.
• Installed a theme.
• Have created a logo.
• Decided your categories and sub-categories.
• Set up your blog email (example: yourname@yoursite.com)
• Set up all legal pages for your blog (Disclaimer, terms of service, and a
privacy policy).
• Set up Google Analytics to track your site traffic.
• And have actually clicked that launch button to make your blog live!

Once you have, completed these tasks, then your blog is live and you
are ready to start this workbook and completely conquer your first
month blogging! What are you waiting for?

7
CONQUERING YOUR FIRST
MONTH: 30-DAY OUTLINE
This ebook/workbook is made to be completed in your first 30 days
blogging in 2 hours a day (Your average nap time!). Here is an outline of
how the workbook splits up each assignment in order to do so. Use this
as a reference to stay focused and on track each day!

DAY 1:
CREATE A BRAND BOARD
FOR YOUR BLOG

9
Create A Brand Board For Your
Blog
Day 1 after launch we’re diving right into establishing your own visual
identity by creating a brand board for your blog. When someone enters
your site, you only have a few seconds to capture their attention and
make a good first impression.

You want your blog to clearly

show who you are and give a
specific vibe and feel that
attracts your target
audience. Do this by
establishing your own
branding using specific fonts,
color schemes, and patterns
throughout your blog.

Today we are going to make

a brand board for your blog
where you will establish the
colors, logos, fonts, and
patterns that you will use
consistently throughout your
site to create your own
personal identity. This brand
board will be a great place to
stay inspired and can be
used as a reference point
when deciding what is, and
isn’t on-brand.

10
In the blogosphere, our goal is to create amazing content that resonates
with our readers leaving them inspired and motivated. You don't want
your message to be lost in a cluttered inconsistent blog that doesn't
represent you or your mission well. And creating a brand board doesn't
have to be hard! You can make your own beautiful brand board in only
15 minutes using Canva!

Step 1 - Find Your Inspiration

Do you want a bold and bright feel? Dark and romantic? Light and airy?
Simple and minimalist?

When you aren't exactly sure what kind of vibe you want your blog to
give off, a good place to start is by looking on other blogs or Pinterest for
some inspiration. Look at the blogs you love or blogs in your niche, do
they give off the same vibe you want your readers to feel? What kind of
colors do they use and what kind of fonts. Do this on Pinterest too!
Search and save pictures along with other brand boards that inspire
you!

Step 2 - Pick Your Colors

When picking your colors, you want to create a panel of about 5 to 6

colors. Look for 3-4 main colors with a few secondary colors finding their
HTML codes for each. The HTML code is the combination of letters and
numbers that the computer uses to identify that specific color which is
what you will need to be able to produce the exact same colors
throughout your blog and graphics.

11
A great way to find your color’s HTML code is to head over to
HTMLColorCodes.com where they have a tool that tells you what the
code is for any color in an image. So if you find a color you like in a image
or pin, you can simply upload the image to HTMLColorCodes.com and
click on the section of the image you want the code for and it will tell you
that color’s HTML code!

For my blog, I wanted a warm, trendy, and fun vibe so I went with soft fun
colors that weren’t too loud or childish.

Step 3 - Select Your Fonts

You don't want to have too many fonts on your blog, so stick to 3 fonts.
For my fonts I went right off the fonts I had in my logo and theme. I
wanted to keep things simple with sans serif fonts that were easy to read
and a handwritten font to compliment that fun trendy vibe.

Be sure that at least 1 or 2 of your fonts are really easy to read as you will
be using your fonts to create blog post and social media graphics and
need people to be able to actually read them. So if you’r going to use a
really scripty font, be sure to include other fonts that are really easy to
read.

Step 4 - Find Pictures That Are On-Brand.

Once you have a defined feel you are looking for with colors and fonts,
go on Pinterest and look for elements and pictures that fit that vibe
you're going for. Having a collage of these on-brand photos can help
you get inspired and stay consistent. Pick out a few and save them to
your computer.

12
Step 5 - Put Them All Together on Canva

Canva.com is an amazing free tool I use almost daily to create graphics

for my blog and is where you will combine your logos, fonts, and colors to
make your brand board.

Here’s how:

Step 1 - Create a free Canva account at canva.com.

Step 2 - Click this link to use my free brand board Canva template to
easily create your own brand board.

It should take you to a page that looks like this:

Step 3 - Upload your blog logo and on-brand inspiration images to

Canva.

13
1. Click the uploads icon on the left sidebar.

2. Click the Upload an Image button and select the image/

images you want to upload.

Step 4 - Drag and drop your logo to the top section labeled Blog Logo.

Step 5 - Change each circle to your brand colors using the HTML codes
you collected. (ps. if you need another color circle, just select one, then

14
click copy in the right hand top corner to create another color circle.)

1. Click on a color circle, then click on the square color box in

the top left corner..

15
2. Click on the add color button labeled by a plus sign.

3. Add in your color code to change the color of the circle

and press enter on your keyboard.

4. Do this for all circles until you have your full color scheme.

Step 6 - Plug in your fonts. Canva has a bunch of free fonts you can use
so I would suggest using those for your brand for now. Find three that fit

16
and insert them into font’s section and change the font to say it’s own
name so you always remember what that font is called.

Step 7 - Drag and drop your on-brand inspiration photos to the on-
brand images section to complete your brand board for your blog.

17
Finally, take a look at your board and make sure that everything is
working together. Remember, you want to look cohesive not cluttered.
Make sure that your color scheme works together along with your fonts,
logo, and images. If something doesn’t quite seem to fit, get rid of it and
find something else.

Once your brand board looks and feels right, save your brand board to
your computer to keep as a reference and write down your font’s and
color codes so you always know what they are. Maybe update any
colors you are already using on your blog to your new brand colors, then,
it’s time to move on to Day 2!
