Personal Crest Assignment

For 50 points in the major grade category, design a personal crest that depicts who you are as a
person. The only words that you may use are your first and last name. All information about who
you are should be depicted through the use of symbols.

You must use a minimum of five symbols. You may design your crest and divide the sections of
the crest according to traditional crests, or you may come up with a new design altogether. You
may use traditional symbols or come up with new symbols that reflect who you are as a person.

A writing sample that explains your crest must also be turned in. Each symbol used in your crest
must be briefly but thoroughly explained (2 sentences per symbol minimum). Your explanation
can be on a separate sheet or can appear on the back of your crest.
