    TITLE : SAFETY WORK INSTRUCTION FOR TOWER CRANE OPERATIONS

    IMS Work Instruction Manual

    1. Check incoming voltage at crane panel as 400 V to 415 V.

    2. Check condition of wire rope and sling.

    3. Check proper working of load limit switch, trolley limit switch and height limit switch.

    4. Check hoist, slewing and trolley brakes for its proper operation.

    5. Check split pins of tower mast, cathead and tension bars.

    6. Check air gap of all brakes periodically.

    7. Load test is to be carried out once in a year and test certificate will be maintained at site.

    8. Load chart for tower cranes to be available with crane operator.

    9. Use safety belt for tower crane operator while climbing to / from operator’s cabin.

    10. Check presence of signal man for signaling during crane operations.

    11. Check operation horn for tower cranes.

    12. Check proper earthing to tower cranes.
