Internet Over the Space
Internet, who don’t know? one of the mostgreat invention for leveling up civilization in 21 st
Century. Everybody has used it for much things such as studying, working, trading, even online food
ordering easy as you tap your finger to the screen. Today, internet can connect all of country cause of
fiber optics dominate as the main infrastructure with speed near of light speed. In the future, company for
example Space X and Amazon will make an internet infrastructure over the space. There are some
advantages and disadvantages for both internet infrastructure.
For advantages, this Space based infrastructre for internet can reach all of area from city to
unreached places like in the top of mountain, it because in the Space it will be a thousand satellite that
connect one each other and one sattelite cover one area. If we divided the world into 5.000 areas then the
required satellite is 5.000 too. This infrastructure has a different procedure with Fiber optics based
infrastructre which is connect other country using a cable. So, the fiber opticsbased infrastructure cannot
coverage all of areas because the data from fiber optics cable must be transmitted again to the tower that
has limited coverage.
For disadvantages, this Space based infrastructre for internet cannot match the speed of a fiber optics for
today because it has a higher latency then the cable. This problem can lead a bad experience for those
who used internet for fast reponses near realtime like trading. For comparison, fiber optics can reach 100
Gbps and satellite only has 1-10 Mbps of speed. And prices using this satellitebased internet still fairly

world in the future.
