HONOURS

DECEMBER 2020 FINAL EXAMINATION (TAKE-HOME)

COURSE NAME: CIRCUITS AND SIGNALS I

COURSE CODE: EEE3103
TIME ALLOWED: 2 HOURS
(02:00pm – 04:00pm)
DATE:22/12/2020

This examination question paper consists of EIGHT (8) pages including the
cover page.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATE:

1. Answer ALL FOUR (4) questions. All questions carry equal marks.
2. All working steps for numerical answers must be shown.
3. Write your answers on A4 size paper, either in Black or Blue colour pen – any
unreadable answer / information will be voided.
4. Write your name and SEGi Student ID on every page (top right corner) of your
answer sheets, and number all your answer sheets (bottom right corner) in
chronological order.
5. Scan all your answer sheets into a single PDF / Word file (together with the
Student’s Answer Script Cover Page provided), and name it under the Module
Code, followed by your SEGi Student ID, eg: ECE3094_SUKD123456.pdf
6. Upload your single PDF / Word file to the Blackboard submission page before
5 pm on 22 December 2020 (Malaysia time).
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATE:

In the questions, some of the numerical values are given in-terms of R values.
Students are required to use your Student ID for the values of R.

Example:
The value of a component is given as R Ω. If your student ID is SUKD1903456.
Then:

R = 6 Ω (Last digit of your Student ID)

If you used wrong value for R, you will be awarded with zero mark for the
particular question. The parameters with R values are given in bold letters.

INFORMATION TO CANDIDATE:

This is an Open Book Exam but you are NOT permitted to share your answers with
anyone or get help from anyone to answer the questions before the aforesaid
Blackboard submission time.
LATE submission will be awarded FAIL for the module and NO appeal will be
granted for the following reasons
 Lack of knowledge on using Blackboard in submission
 Poor internet connection / no internet connection
 No computer for submission
