1 What are the best information you gathered from the autobiography of GDJ and
Video-biography of GDJ?
- Reading GDJ’s autobiography mesmerized me, it was a short story on how she
became the “lakambini”, or the mother of the Katipunan, taking care of its members
and doing whatever she can to help them. In the autobiography I found out that the
Katipunan has wonderful rules and commandments when it comes to adultery and
karma - You should never do to others what you do not want done to you, to respect
others as to how you want to be respected; that is how you become a respectable man
in the country, otherwise suffer the appropriate punishments. In contrast to GDJ’s
video-biography, I was able to get some visual information on how she would hide
the Katipunan’s important documents and weapons - by either hiding them under her
bed or by riding a “kalesa” in the middle of the night with the things she needs to run
away with.

expounded on her story inside the information on how she was inside

4. Which is the Primary Source and Secondary or Tertiary Source between the
Autobiography and Video-biography?
- The autobiography, the secondary source, is more reliable than the video-biography.
The autobiography is more detailed and has more uniques insights than the
video-biography. Moreover, the writing contains a more explained point of view of
the biographer in her experience as a participant of an event. This secondary source
contains more insights and some annotations from the professor who translated the
autobiography; which makes it easier for readers to reach a conclusion or make the
source a basis or evidence on a topic they are researching. The video-biography is not
as reliable as the autobiography, as the video is too concise and contains inaccurate
visual details - materials used to represent some important details. The
video-biography is also incomplete and cannot be used as credible evidence.
