Course Objective
On completion of the course students will develop understanding of important corporate finance
decisions namely investment decision, financing decision, and dividend decision and learn techniques of
evaluating alternative options/scenarios and taking these decisions with precision. (PEO-1)

C01- Develop an understanding of investing, financing and dividend decision making.

CO2- Apply financial concepts to explore financials of the corporate.

CO3- Analysing businesses/projects using various financial management tools/techniques

CO4- Evaluating businesses in terms of profitability, financial position and sustainable growth.

Group Project Report: The class will be divided into smaller groups and each group will make work on team
assignment on the given topic and submit the structured report for the same.

Class participation:
100% Participation in the class is important without which the course is incomplete. Students with low
attendance will loose grade as per the rule and may not be able to sit for the final exams.

Expectations from the students


 Read assigned chapters/articles/cases before the session
 Major focus shall be on reading the material and refrain from using PowerPoint presentations only
for the complete study.
 Students are expected to ask and clear their doubts from time to time.

Plagiarism
Plagiarism as per UGC / AICTE regulations is instructional offences. It refers to “use and pass off as one’s
own idea or product work of another without expressly giving credit to another”. Borrowing someone
else’s answers, unauthorized possession of tests or answers to tests, or possession of material designed to
help answer exam questions, are also subject to instructional offences.
