Introduction
In this guide, we will illustrate the process of accessing the NDG Online environment.
You will connect to the NDG Online platform through your Coursera account. You will
complete the steps required in order to enroll and subscribe to the NDG Online lab
service.
We will illustrate the process of accessing the NDG Online environment from the Palo
Alto Networks Cybersecurity Gateway I course.
Objective
You will access the NDG Online Portal through your Coursera account in order to
perform the Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Gateway and Essentials labs.
1. From the Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Gateway I course, Week 2, Module 1
- Activities and Deliverables, select Lab: Connecting with NDG.
2. To access the NDG Online platform, select the Open Tool button.
3. The NDG Online Portal will open in a new tab of your browser. Enter values into
the fields on the registration page (see field descriptions below) and then click
Register.
Not a first-time NDG Online user? If you already have an NDG Online
account that you have used to access other courses, you may select the
Log In tab to access your account and skip to the next section, Complete
the Enrollment Process.
4. The Email verification page will be displayed. You will receive an email containing
a verification key. Enter the Verification Key and then click Verify.
The email with the subject [NDG Portal] Please Confirm Your Email
Address will be sent from netdevgroup.com. Be sure to check your
spam folder if you are having trouble locating the email.
After completing the steps in the previous section to register/log in, follow the steps in
this section to complete the enrollment process for using the NDG Online lab service.
1. Review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, available by selecting the links on
the page. Agreeing to the terms by selecting the first checkbox is required
in order to enroll. You may also opt to select the second checkbox to receive
additional information from NDG.
2. Click the Complete Enrollment button.
Access to the labs requires a paid subscription. You must activate your
subscription in order to begin using the labs.
• Your subscription begins with a 7-day free trial. At the end of the 7-
day free trial, you will be billed monthly. You may cancel at any
time.
2. FastSpring's secure checkout form will be displayed. Enter your payment details
and then click Save Payment Details.
3. You will see a message confirming your subscription order. You will also receive
email confirmation of your order from FastSpring, which will include information
on managing your subscription. Click Continue.
After completing the required steps for enrollment and subscription, you may perform
your first Palo Alto Networks Academy Cybersecurity Gateway lab.

Account for details on accessing the guide.
In this section, we will look at some of the features of the NDG Online platform including
accessing the Home page and the list of modules available within a course. We will also
examine how to access and modify user settings as needed.
The content available to you through your NDG Online account will vary, depending on
the courses in which you are enrolled. The courses you are enrolled in are displayed on
the home page of your NDG Online account.
1. Select Home on the left panel of the NDG Online lab environment.
2. The My Classes page displays course cards for each course you are enrolled.
Select a course by clicking the course card.
1. To view a list of modules included with a course, select Modules on the left
panel of the NDG Online lab environment.
1. You may view and update the account settings of your NDG Online account by
selecting Account on the left panel of the NDG Online lab environment.
2. The Account Management page will be displayed. The options available from this
page are described in the subsections below.
The configure lab settings option allows you to modify your date and time settings.
2. The current date and time settings will be displayed (see field descriptions
below); make any revisions needed and then click Save.
• Time Zone: Select the time zone in which you are located. NDG Online will adjust
for Daylight Savings Time.
• Date Display Format: The style that dates will be displayed (example, YYYY-MM-
DD).
• Time Display Format: Time may be displayed in 12-hour (AM/PM) format, or 24-
hour format.
• First Day of the Week: The first day of the week to be shown in the calendar.
2. The Subscriptions page will be displayed. Click the button to visit the FastSpring
Order Management site, which will open in a new window. You may view your
orders, cancel a subscription or manage your payment methods through
FastSpring - an authorized reseller.
Multiple email addresses may be added to your account. This can be helpful if you are
enrolled in a course that requires the use of a verified academic email but prefer to use
another email for communications.
1. Select this option to add or change the email addresses associated with your
account.
2. Here, we see an account where an additional email address has been added by
entering the address and clicking Add Email. The first, bolded email address is
the primary and will be used for communications with NDG Online.
2. The Change Password page will be displayed. Enter your old (current) password
and then enter your new password (minimum of 6 characters is required) twice.
Click Change Password.
3. A message will confirm that your new password has been saved.
• To exit the NDG Online platform, select Logout from the Account Management
page.
5.4 Request Help from the NDG Online Customer Support Team
1. To send a message to the support team, select Help on the left panel of the NDG
Online lab environment.
2. Enter your information in the Leave Us a message form. If you are experiencing a
problem, please include a complete description. You may also include
screenshots and files if applicable. After completing the form, click Send.
