1. State Maximum Power transfer theorem.

4. For a circuit with R= 4Ω, L=25mH and C= 150μF in series. Find the Bandwidth?
5. When two coils having self-inductance L1 and L2 are coupled through a mutual

study of resonance. Calculate band width and Q-factor for each case.

17. Three coils are connected in series as shown in fig. What is the equivalent inductance

1. Explain Reciprocity Theorem with an example.


2. (a) What is the difference between series and parallel resonance?
(b) What is band width and quality factor?
(c) Derive expression for selectivity of a series resonance RLC circuit with frequency
variable.
3. A coil having resistance 50Ω and inductance 10mH is connected in series with a
capacitor and is supplied at constant voltage and variable frequency source. The maximum
current is 1A at 750Hz.
(i) Determine the bandwidth and half power frequencies.
(ii) Total energy stored in the inductor and capacitor.

3. Prove that for two mutually coupled coils of self inductance L1 and L2, and the
coefficient of coupling K=M / √(L1L2) , Also explain the dot convention in the mutually
coupled coils.

4. Apply Millman’s theorem to find the current in the 5ohm resistor in the circuit shown
below.[Dec’09]

5. Verity Compensation Theorem for the circuit shown in the figure below following a
change over of resistance ‘R’ from 3ohms to 6 ohms.[Dec’09]
6. Verify Reciprocity Theorem for the network.

7. Derive the conditions for Maximum power transfer theorem in AC and DC networks.
