1. Corner Bracing (to keep the same travel):
Parts Needed:
Corner brace, 2x
M5x8 bolt, 4x
M5 T nut, 4x 2x

Notes:
-Remove the front aluminum corner braces and install the supplied shorter braces. Do this
before loosening the front Y belt brackets to keep the 2020 alignment.

2. V-wheel Bracket Removal:


-Loosen front Y belt brackets.
-Remove all V-wheel brackets (X bracket and both Y brackets).
-Leave Y belts draped over the frame.
-Put aside two M5x20 bolts from the Y brackets, and the M8 bolt, nuts, and bearings from the Y
belt tensioner on your Ender 5 printer.

3. Tensioner Bracket Assembly:


Parts Needed:
Tensioner bracket, 1x
M5x8 bolts, 2x
M5 T nut, 2x

Re-use:
M8 bolt, nuts, bearings
4. Idler Bracket Assembly:
Parts Needed:
Idler brackets, 1x
M5x8 bolt, 1x
M5 T nut, 1x
M8x25 bolt, 1x
M8 washer, 1x
M8 thin nut, 1x
M8 locknut, 1x
F688 bearing, 2x

Re-use:
M5x20 bolt

5. Motor Bracket Assembly:


Parts Needed:
Motor brackets, 1x
M5x8 bolt, 1x
M5 T nut, 1x
M3x8 bolt, 3x
M8x25 bolt, 1x
M8 washer, 1x
M8 thin nut, 1x
M8 locknut, 1x
F688 bearing, 2x

Re-use:
Motor, M5x20 bolt

6. X Carriage Assembly:
Parts Needed:
ExoSlide 20PC, 4x
Carriage bracket, 1x
M4x42 bolt, 8x
M4x18 bolt, 2x
M3x20 bolt, 2x
M3x5 spacer, 2x
Notes:
-Tighten the eight M4x84 Nylock bolts down firmly that secure the four ExoSlides together.

7. Endstop Assembly:
Parts Needed:
Endstop bracket, 1x
M4x18 bolt, 1x
M4 T nut, 1x

Re-use:
M3x6 bolts, endstop

8. Gantry Assembly:
Parts Needed:
Tensioner bracket assembly, 1x
Idler bracket assembly, 1x
Motor bracket assembly, 1x
X carriage assembly, 1x
Endstop assembly, 1x
Bracket 20mm, 2x
Belt, 1x

Re-use:
2020 cross rail
Notes:
-Install the idler bracket assembly and the motor bracket assembly with the long M5x20 bolts
screwed into the tapped holes at the ends of the extrusion.
-Install the black plastic brackets with the tabs pointing to the ends of the 2020 rail. Leave the
bolts loose, and the brackets roughly 10mm away from the aluminum brackets.
-Nest the endstop switch into the top of the black plastic bracket.

9. Y Carriage Assembly:
Parts Needed:
ExoSlide 20PC, 2x
M4x35 bolt, 4x
Endstop Y, 1x

Notes:
-Tighten the four M4x35 bolts down firmly that secure the ExoSlides together.

10. Y ExoSlide:
Parts Needed:
ExoSlide 20PC, 1x
11. Motion Assembly:
Parts Needed:
Gantry assembly, 1x
Y carriage assembly, 1x
Y ExoSlide, 1x
M4x18 bolt, 4x

Notes:
-Place the gantry assembly over the rails, then install the Y belts first.
-Now slide the black brackets to line-up with the ExoSlides (two farthest holes).
-Then tighten the Y (and X if not done yet) belts.
-Go make stuff!
