The Drowning Accident
Terror accident
“Hey, hey, has anybody here, the boy is badly hurt! "I shouted for help.
I still remember wholly that this accident happened when I had first time to take a long journey by
myself last month and it also created an unforgettable experience to me in this trip. I am the
unsociable and solitary person but who think that I also is a travel enthusiast so I have to grasp the
golden opportunity to take a long journey by myself in this holiday and nobody can assume that it
will be my first significant experience in my life.
It was a very cold morning as it had been raining like cats and dogs the previous night. After
carrying my luggage upstairs ,I wanted to visit various scenic spots that I had burned the midnight oil
to search from Internet in a hurry. As the hotel manager was feeling a little under the weather, I
decided to walk to my scenic spot with my map by myself on that day. A bolt out of the blue, when I
was lost and tried to figure out some ways to estimate the place, I heard a screeching noise from a
car and some pedestrian screamed their head off when they saw the terror accident.
To my instinct, I quickly turned around to see what had happened due to my curiosity was aroused
by this state. I stood stunned and speechless by this abrupt accident. I saw a boy was lying down in
the middle of the road with his bicycle. He was badly hurt. The floor and his school uniform was all
covered with his blood. He was bleeding profusely. There was a white Honda stopped in front of the
little boy. The driver of the car quickly came down from the car and the shock robbed him of speech.
Luckily, the car driver did not hurt much,he just had some injuries on his hand.
I sank into melancholy and my heart pounding so fast at the time. I wanted to call the ambulance
but did not expect I realized that my phone was not with me because I overlooked at the hotel. There
was no any telephone booth around either."I want to run away…… "I murmured, but I realized that
my legs mummified like God also requested me to aid the boy. Therefore, I decided to shout
"Hey,hey, has anybody here, the boy is badly hurt. "and nobody thought that this accident made my
trip be more unique and mend my unsocial style. Luckily, a passer-by that had saw the situation
quickly used her mobile phone to call for an ambulance.
There were a few tourists stood motionless with horror accident. Besides, it had some tourists
quickly ran into the nearby guard room to inform the guard. After a moment, a formidable guard
rushed out from his room and called to the police apprehensive. Soon, the ambulance had arrived
and the badly injured boy was taking away to the hospital. The police arrived too at the same time.
They questioned the driver with an angry frown creased their forehead and some witnesses so as me
because they thought accident occuring due to negligence.
Minutes flew by, I scurried to the hospital dreary and grief. Soon, I noticed the boy's mother fell to
her knees, clutching her head in despair in front of the emergency room. His father hugged and
thanked me for umpteen times because dropped in the boy. His eyes also puffy and red after all the
crying. A tingle of sorrow swept over me. Hours flew by, the doctor came out from the emergency
room and told us the news finally. The boy was still alive although in comatose situation. Tears of joy
cascaded down their cheeks at least there was a miracle .
The time in the hospital became my whole day's itinerary and this accident had became a little
episode in my journey.I never annoyed that I did this superb deed and extremely grateful that the
boy still alive.Besides, this unforgettable experience will be etched in my mind.
Describe the first time you had to take a long journey by yourself.
You should write about the trip and explain how you felt about the
experience.
Snatch Thieves
‘Help! Help! Somebody please help me.’ I said.
‘Don’t worry. I will help you.’ A passer-by replied with a piety heart.
I still can remember permanently that the ill-fated accident had occurred
vividly on a breezy morning. That accident happened few years ago when I had
my first time long journey by myself. That accident had made a deep
impression on me.
I had spent my first week of the journey at many places in Hong Kong such as
Disneyland, Victoria Harbour, Victoria Peak and so on. It were a joyful and
memorable time. It was the second week of my journey in Hong Kong. That
was a real scorcher day. The city was bustle and hustle. I was going to have my
lunch in a restaurant before I continued my journey. I leave the hotel and
walked towards restaurant a short distance away. I had a Gucci handbag slung
over my shoulder.
At a crossing, I waited patiently for the light to turn green. When it did, I
crossed over the road. Suddenly, a motorcycle leapt forward and the two men
were on it. In a split of second, they were speeding up to me and the pillion
rider grabbed my handbag. At that moment, I was shocked and my mind’s
gone blank. I was screaming thunderous for help. I kept on struggling and
never let go of my handbag. I was dragged a few metres and my head had
been hit by the pillion rider. I let go my handbag and they ran away.
Fortune did not favour the thieves. A few seconds later, they crashed into the
tanker in the middle of the road. The two men were sent flying, hitting over
vehicles before falling on the road. They laid motionless in pool of blood. The
accident caused the traffic congestion. The whole sequence of ill-fated events
occurred in less than fifteen seconds. Some men rushed to the thieves and
pulled them to the roadside. Whatever they do will bear a consequence like
the saying goes, ‘what goes around comes around.
The police and paramedic were on the scene within minutes. The authoritative
police cordoned off the area. After a short while, the two men and I had been
transported to the hospital for receiving further treatment. It was a long and
delicate operation and my scream of pain echoed throughout the emergency
room. After a few hours, my operation had completed. The doctor told me that
I was suffered from severe injury on my skin and it resulted in the excessive
external bleeding but now I am all right. What wonderful news for me, I
thanked God for my narrow escape. As English says, ‘accidents will happen’,
thus we should be vigilant at all times.
A few hours later, there was a man went into the ward. No doubt, he was the
man who had saved me in the accident. He returned my handbag to me. I was
on the top of the world and very grateful for his aid. The next day, I had made
a decision to go back to Malaysia. I was very joyfully in that long journey
although I had an accident. Besides that, I also learned many experience from
that journey. For instance, it was exactly perilous to have a handbag slung over
shoulder. Therefore, I will ensure that it would not happen for the second time
as wise saying goes, once bitten twice shy.
