TOEIC TEST
TOEIC test is a test to showing communication skill in English for working world or take a
part of the globalization.
There are various forms of examinations: The TOEIC Listening & Reading Test consists of
two assessment skills assessment tests that are rated the same as a 990 score; The newer
TOEIC Speaking & Writing test consists of tests of pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar,
fluency, overall coherence, and structure (organizing sentences) with a total of 400 possible
scores.
The TOEIC Listening & Reading Test lasts two hours [45 minutes for listening, and 75
minutes for reading]. It consists of 200 multiple choice items divided equally between the
listening and reading sections. Each candidate receives an independent score for listening and
reading comprehension on a scale of 5 to 495 points. The total score increases to a scale of 10
to 990 points.
The TOEIC Speaking & Writing Test was introduced in 2006. Testers receive separate scores
for each of the two tests, or can take the Speak test without taking a written test. The
Speaking test evaluates pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and fluency, while the Writing
test examines vocabulary, grammar, and coherence and overall organization. Tests are
designed to reflect the actual use of English at work, even though they do not require
knowledge of specific business terms. The TOEIC Speaking Test takes about 20 minutes to
complete; The TOEIC writing test lasts about 60 minutes. Each test has a score range
between 0-200, with test takers grouped into eight skill levels.
