PROFILE AND CAPABILITY
PT. PANGANSARI UTAMA (PTPU) founded in 1975, in association with Greatways Group of Companies
that operate extensively throughout South East Asia. This group of Companies is involved in Restaurants,
Bars, Coffee Shops, Supermarkets, Bakeries, Offshore Services, Food Supply, Industrial Catering and
Remote Site Support Services.
Between 1976 and 1979, PT. Pangansari Utama had started and developed its Food Supply activities for
PT. Pertamina at the Bontang LNG plant in Indonesia.
In 1981, PT. Pangansari Utama enlarged its scope of activities into Industrial Catering and Total Remote
Site Support Services for Projects throughout Indonesia.
As a result of the Presidential Decree "14A" and in support of PT Pangansari Utama's activities, a
complete Cold Storage and Warehousing Facility was constructed in Balikpapan. At present, this Facility
is servicing a wide range of Clients throughout East Kalimantan including Hotels, Restaurants,
Commissaries and Remote Construction Sites who depend on this Facility for their requirements.
The Catering and Support Services Operation currently provides Services to a variety of Construction
Projects, Oil related and Offshore Operations in all parts of Indonesia from Aceh to Irian Jaya.
PT. Pangansari Utama has the stability, financial resources, experience and support infrastructure to
professionally operate and manage any Catering, Food Supply or Camp Support Project anywhere in
Indonesia.
Our professional and personalised management style and commitment has enabled us to prosper within
the Industry. We are now the largest Caterers in Indonesia with turnover in excess of US$ 50 million
annually.

PT. PANGANSARI CATERING INDUSTRIES Management has long recognized that they are in
the “PEOPLE BUSINESS" and that an Organization is only as good as the combination of its
employee’s talents, just as any good recipe is dependent on the combination of the proper ratio of
food ingredients.
Our success therefore depends upon the level of Client satisfaction we are capable of generating.

and Fresh Foods where economically possible.
We would provide a high level of supervision and adopt work methods, which in turn
will lead to a happy and efficient Site Staff.
Provide for Special Functions and other Ancillary Services, to the highest quality and
presentation as might be demanded by the Client, whether it is a; Board Meeting,
In-House Staff Functions or VIP functions.
Monitor trends, new products and methods within the Industry, and to keep the Client
informed of any changes, which may affect the Catering Operation or Cost Levels.

INDUSTRIES.
Client / Contractor Meetings are vitally important during the life of the Contract. Only
through this meaningful avenue are we able keep the lines of communication open, to recognize
any areas of difficulty, and also to receive critical appraisal of our performance. Promotional
activity, customer feedback, establishing dates for special theme days, variance-reporting etc. are
standard agenda items of such Meetings.

PT. PANGANSARI UTAMA commenced operations in 1976 with the objective of providing a proactive,
personalized and cost effective service to Industry. And was confident of achieving a reputation, which still
embraces the Company today.
Since the Company’s inception, it has grown from one Contract in 1976 to over fifty Contracts throughout
Indonesia and South East Asia.
The Company currently employs a workforce of over 2,500 employees, and is committed to providing

Procurement his responsibilities include the task of ensuring that the “ quality “,” variety” and “
availability “ are to our Clients satisfaction and requirements.
Fresh vegetables and fruits are procured from the best available Wholesale Vegetable Supplier.
All Meats procured are Grain Fed, GAQ and locally abattoir (halal) slaughtered 1st Grade Quality
Beef, and Indonesian Prime Beef Cuts.
All Fish is Grade “ A “, as are all Poultry Products. Only best Dry Groceries are purchased.
All food supplies are provided once every week except for the initial stocks, we may procure a
minimum stock (on-hand) requirement for one (1) month or more if storage space permits.
Our wide Procurement experience and vast Purchasing power ensures that Prices remain
competitive, and that goods are delivered safely and to an agreed schedule.
Using critical path analysis techniques, quality standards are controlled from manufacturing to
delivery on Site. Catering for all Nationalities, our Food Supplies are purchased from Overseas
and locally. We pay close attention to the methods of Packaging, Distribution and Storage. Where
necessary this includes Warehousing and Refrigerated Transport.
In the build-up to Mobilization, we will establish Pioneer and Logistical Depots operated on similar
lines to the Main Projects. Our expertise in all aspects of Site Operations brings not just
Procurement, but a practical experience in specifying and handling the thousands of products
required on Site from a Reefer Truck to Computer machines. Procurement on this scale
demands hands-on Professionals. PT. Pangansari Utama guarantees that we can save the
Client , Time, Money and Worry !.
Further, all our Main Food Supplies are provided by our own Food Industries Warehouse
in Jakarta, which enables us to have a high level of Stocks available at all times in
the Country.
PT. PANGANSARI UTAMA & CATERING INDUSTRIES is a Caterer, Supplier, and Importer,
and is linked up with all Manufacturers of Food Stuffs. The Company also operates a
