The George Wildlife Park, which opened in 1965, is the home of many species of
animals and birds. Some are in cages, but many are not. You will see not only all your

The 14 acre area of the park is home to some 50 species of animals and 160
species of birds.
In the wildlife you can find many kiosks of food, drink, ice cream, coffee and of
course peanuts and biscuits for the animals and children to enjoy. You can also buy a

Many years ago, there lived a hermit in a forest in Sumatra. He didn’t grow food
but depended on jungle fruit to survive. Soon, there was a drought and all plants and fruit
trees in the jungle died.
The old man had nothing to eat now, so he turn to begging. He went to a nearby
village trying to get some food. At first, the villagers were happy to help him. However,
when he came continually, they refused to give him anymore food. They told him to grow
his own food.
One day, while the hermit was sitting in his hut, sad and hungry, he began to think
about growing his own food. Just then, a boatman stopped by, and taking pity on the
hermit, give him some paddy seeds.
Before the boatman went away, he said, “These seed will grow and give you ever
tasting harvest if you work very hard. If you are tired of the work the paddy plants will
turn into weeds.”
The old hermit worked hard to clear the land and sowed the seeds before the rains
came. Strangely, after a short of time, the paddy was ready for harvesting. The old man
got a lot of rice from the harvest. After each harvest, the plants grew back again right
away. When the villagers heard about the hermit and his wonderful paddy, they flocked
to his paddy-field and took home as much paddy as they could.
One day, the hermit became so tired of harvesting the paddy that he shouted, “Oh,
stop growing, you wretched thing!” As soon as he had said this, the paddy plants turned
into weeds.
Before we are going to smoking, it is better to look at the fact. About 50 thousand
people die every year in Britain as direct result of smoking. This is seven times as many
as die in road accidents. Nearly a quarter of smoker die because of diseases caused by
smoking.

day we are six times more likely to die of lung cancer than a non-smoker. If we smoke
twenty cigarettes a day, the risk is nineteen greater. Ninety five percent of people who
suffer of bronchitis are people who are smoking. Smokers are two and half time more
likely to die of heart disease than non-smoker.
Additionally, children of smoker are more likely to develop bronchitis and
pneumonia. In one hour in smoky room, non-smoker breathes as much as substance

An earthquake is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust that creates
seismic waves. At the Earth's surface, earthquakes manifest themselves by vibration,
shaking and sometimes displacement of the ground. The vibrations may vary in
magnitude. Earthquakes are caused mostly by slippage within geological faults, but also
by other events such as volcanic activity, landslides, mine blasts, and nuclear tests. The
underground point of origin of the earthquake is called the focus. The point directly above
the focus on the surface is called the epicenter. Earthquakes by themselves rarely kill
people or wildlife. It is usually the secondary events that they trigger, such as building
collapse, fires, tsunamis (seismic sea waves) and volcanoes, that are actually the human
disaster. Many of these could possibly be avoided by better construction, safety systems,
early warning and evacuation planning
