HAUSBA DESIGN TEST

This test comprises 4 questions and you are required to answer any 1 of the questions. In all categories, points would be added for
details shown.

Your answer should be shown based on the all 4 sections listed below.

Category 1 - AV Plan Drawing - A plan view representing your answers.

In this category you are allowed to create your own symbols to represent the AV Systems or Draw to scale if required.

Category 2 - Elevations

In this category, Elevation views are required, candidates should show the standard TV faceplates where required. This drawing must
be done to scale with dimensions shown.

Category 3 - Reporting (Optional, however extra points would be appended for attempting this category)

In this category, you are required to give a detailed report on your reasons behind answers given or shown in sections 1 - 2.
The design brief was generated based on Mr Okoro’s responses from the HAUSBA project request form he had filed for this 3 Bedroom
Apartment Renovation Project.

Using this brief, you are required to answer any 1 of the 4 questions showing your answers in all 3 categories.

Question 1 - The Client has requested for a modern home Cinema room of 7.2.4 Audio Configuration with no dedicated cinema room
within his architectural plan, using a 16:9 160” Projection screen and a Sony VPL-VW 550es projector. The rack room needs to be
provided for as well. Kindly show a concept view of the front and Left wall for category 2.

Question 2 - The Client has requested for a decentralized audio system in Bedroom 4 using a pair of 8” speakers in-ceiling speakers ,he
has requested that you specify the right size of TV for this space.

Question 3 - The Client has requested for a Centralized audio system using a pair of 6” speakers in-ceiling speakers as well as 55”
Samsung TV in Bedroom 3.

Question 4 - In the master bedroom, a 4B single Pico at the entrance door and 4B single Pico on both sides of the bedside.

Note the following parameters for Mr Okoro’s Project

Ceiling to Floor Height - 3300mm

Standard Door Heights - 2100mm

Standard Bed Height - 600mm

Standard Light Keypads - 1200mm from FFL
