Resin Printer

Resin 3D printers work by exposing layers of photosensitive liquid resin to UV light, solidifying each layer until the final product is complete. They can produce objects with high resolution and detail rapidly. Resin printers vary in price from around €250 for basic models to over €100,000 for high-end industrial machines. The Orange 30 printer is an affordable entry-level option that produces high quality prints, while the ProJet 6000 HD is suitable for mass manufacturing due to its large build size and compatibility with various materials.

Hey Guys, welcome to the 3D printer vault!

In today’s blog post I am going to be talking

about resin 3D printers.
Resin 3D printing also known as ‘Stereolithography’ is the oldest form of 3d printing
technology, it was developed by Chuck Hull in 1983 and is still one of the most widely used
forms of 3D printing
According to {www.cdw.com,2019] Resin 3d printers work by ‘exposing a layer of
photosensitive liquid resin to a UV-laser beam’ until the resin solidifies into hardened plastic.
The object is then raised, and layers are added this process is repeated until the final product
is complete. These printers must use a resin liquid resin that has the ability to be hardened by
a UV light. Resin printers have the ability to produce products rapidly while obtaining an
extremely high standard of resolution. This printer is able to produce prototypes of a large
scale and focus on the fine details. This 3D printer is perfect for anyone looking to produce
large scale prototypes and models rapidly or for someone who is just looking to be creative
and create some figurines or cosplay items.

.

The prices of these 3d printers can vary depending on the size, model and the quality of
products and how fast it can produce them. Resin 3d printers are ordinarily more expensive
than filament 3D printers. The average cost for one of these printers starts at around 250 euro
going up to hundreds and thousands of euro!. In this part of the blog I will be comparing the
differences between a high end expensive 3d printer to a more affordable office friendly
printer.

Beginning with the ‘Orange 30 3D printer’ this printer is currently retailed at 264.05 euro on
[www.bangood.com] making it one of the most affordable 3d printers on the current market.
According to Amazons description its built size is 3.86x 2.17 x5.5 inch making it a perfect
sized printer for any working environment. This 3d printer comes equipped with its own
printing platform, resin tray and power supply along with some accessories such as a spatula,
hex keys , latex gloves, hand scrapes ,wipes and a 250g beige resin bottle
[www.amazon.com] The creators of this printer also manufacture different colours of resins
like grey , black or white and the printer also has the ability to work with third party resins
which can be beneficial to some of its users. According to reviews on Amazon and Youtube
this is a perfect 3d printer for beginners and is good quality for its price.
On the more expensive side of the resin 3D printer market we have the ProJet 6000 HD
printer. The ProJet 6000 HD printer prices varies from 100,000 to 250,0000 euro. The size of
this printers build volume is 251 x 250 x 250mm. This printer uses a specific 3d printing
liquid called ‘Visi Jet SL Clear’ which makes it the perfect printer for medical, technological
and manufacturing mass productions. The printer comes in 3 different types of models SD,
MP and HD. It is compatible with a wide range of materials and has a resistance to high
temperatures. Information sourced by [www.3dprinteros.com ]
