General Labor/Palletizer Operator/Forklift Operator
General labor work dealing with fruit processing ranging from washing barrels and dumping product on to
sorting/processing lines. Palletizer operation includes preparing sealing rings and lids prior to start of shift
for production and preparing zip ties, twist ties, placement of rings near production lines, placement of lids
near production lines, and ensuring that the Palletizer is operating within normal parameters before the
start of the shift. Palletizer operation also includes pre -wash cleanup of area for sanitation crew so that
there are no production items in the way of sanitation crew. Forklift operation includes movement of
product during and after production to the on site freezer or to shipping area for transport of product.
Forklift operation requires understanding layout of facility to know where to retrieve rings, lids, pallets, and
empty barrels for production.
General labor
 Cleaning rings, lids, and barrels
 Dumping fruit onto sorting/processing lines (constantly lifting/moving crates 20-30 lbs each)
 Tying processed and palletized drums with plastic straps for preparation to be moved from
processing lines
 Filling empty drums with fruit as fruit is sorted and processed
 Securely fitting rings and lids to processed/filled drums
 Placing plastic linings in empty drums to be filled with processed fruit
 Help with removal/rework of unsatisfactorily filled drums from processing lines

Palletizer
 Preparation of clean sealing rings and lids prior to start of shift for production
 Preparation for processing/filling areas with zip ties, twist ties
 Placement of rings/lids near processing lines
 Ensuring that the Palletizer is operating within normal parameters before the start of the shift
 Securely fitting rings and lids to processed/filled drums
 Placing identification labels to processed/filled drums
 Troubleshooting Palletizer issues such as stuck pallets as quickly as possible to ensure little or no
down time while processing

Forklift Operator
 Moving palletized product to shipping area
 Moving palletized product to on-site freezer (WFC area driver separate from Processing area)
 Preparing for shift by ensuring there are empty pallets for processing
 Checking for and removing damaged pallets
 Checking for labels and ensuring that drums are properly labelled

Sandblaster/Welder/Shop Hand
Main work was sandblasting large oil field equipment and miscellaneous items for other clients. Weld
small equipment as needed. Cut metal on circular saw, band saw, brake press, and sheet metal shear.
Use forklift to maneuver equipment and other items around as needed. Maintenance of work areas.
Learning experience in fabrication of oil field equipment and construction.

Chrome Room/ Backup Grinding Machine Operator
Main duties were to load and unload one out of two of the hard chrome plating machines. Test sample
shock and strut support rods for chrome thickness and quality, along with keeping track of all rod orders
as there were anywhere from one to ten thousand rods in each order of rods. Also, worked with a
designated co-worker to learn how to run a rod grinding machine that would grind rods to specified
diameters before being moved to final stage of chrome plating. Also, learned how to maintain both
machines when in need of minimal fixes, but had a dedicated maintenance team for more serious
problems on duty at all times.

Chrome Platter Operator


 Load and unload hard chrome platter.
 Direct and adjust for plating thickness for different lengths and widths of rods.
 Test sample rods for chrome thickness and imperfections.
 Log all known defective rods and set aside for further quality evaluation or disposal.
 Log all tests of sample rods for chrome thickness and make adjustments as needed to input
voltage of platter
 Verify count of all non-defective rods for orders.

Grinding Machine Operator


 Check machine for maintenance needs before running.
 Load hopper with orders of raw machined rods.
 Set primary rough grinding wheels to a specified diameter.
 Set secondary finish grinding wheels to final diameter.
 Set rod hardener for specified length of rod.
 Adjust feed belts as needed when changing orders.
 Adjust grinding wheels every few minutes as needed for keeping rod diameters within set
parameters.
 Log all tests of rod hardness and diameters on quality check sheet.

Parts washer/Sandblaster/Maintenance
Stripped and loaded engines into parts washer for preparing to sandblast, ran sandblaster for engine
blocks and cam heads, and ran the buffing wheel for cleaning parts for re-assembly of motors.
 Prepped Engine blocks to be loaded and unloaded from parts washer.
 Loaded parts washer with parts as needed.
 Sandblasted engine blocks and parts.
 Cleaned nuts and bolts for reassembling engines.
 Maintained clean work space and helped coworkers when needed
