CHAPTER I

A. INTRODUCTION

Nowadays, various people are fond of playing computer games and going to

computer shops to research or print their projects. Any organization or business's

marketing strategy is a long-term, forward-looking approach and overall game plan

with the fundamental goal of gaining a competitive advantage by understanding

consumer desires and wants. Scholars including Philip Kotler are also debating

the exact definition of marketing strategy. As a result, there are several meanings

in the literature. However, upon closer inspection, these concepts tend to revolve

around the idea that strategy applies to a broad statement of what should be

accomplished. Prior to the formulation, evaluation, and selection of a market-

oriented competitive position that corresponds to the company's priorities and

marketing objectives, strategic planning entails an analysis of the company's

strategic initial situation.

Strategic marketing arose as a distinct area of research in the 1970s and 1980s,

built on the strategic management that came before it. Marketing strategy

emphasizes marketing's function as a connection between the business and its

customers. It is very essential for people who have their own business to have a

marketing strategies as it makes every business have a better future and better

decisions. Ken Simmonds defined strategic management process in 1981 as the

gathering of management accounting information about a company and its

competitors for the purpose of developing and monitoring a company'


strategy. Strategic management helps in the evaluation of options for achieving

the organizational goals.

If every business such as Comptouch Computer Trading, have different

marketing strategies, then it will help the business to be known and for that to

happen, there should be a mission and vision and the set its objectives. Well-

defined marketing strategy leads to increased revenue and marketing for a

business. This has a direct effect on sales because the more people you reach out

to, the more they reach out to your service. Overall development is supported by

the well marketing strategy. It ensures the expansion of long-term growth. Based

on this analysis, having a marketing strategies or plans is really an important factor

in ensuring that having marketing strategies or plans are really effective and that it

really has an impact to a business.

B. CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

C. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The researchers aim to know the impacts of marketing strategies. The study

will answer the following questions:

a. How can marketing strategies help a business?

b. What are the benefits of having a good marketing strategy?

c. What will happen to businesses who doesn't have good marketing strategy?

The researchers chose this topic to know the impacts of different marketing

strategies in businesses such as computer shops. The researchers will conduct

a survey to know what marketing strategies did the owner of Comptouch

Computer Trading uses in order for them to have a successful business.


D. Scope, Limitation and Delimitation of the Study

The study will discuss what are the impact of marketing strategies in

computer shop computer trading and what are the positive and negative effect

of having marketing strategies in the business. The study will involve

Comptouch Computer Trading in Poblacion, San Luis, Batangas. The primary

subject of this research study will consist of the Grade 11 ABM student in Our

Lady of Caysasay Academy enrolled in academic year 2020-2021.

This study would improve the marketing strategies of Comptouch Computer

Trading by having strategic plans, in line with the rapidly modernizing society.

For those who own businesses like computer shops, such systems will suffice.

As an effect, the relationship will generate results that will be used for actions

that will improve the business. The study compile with the researcher started

last March 9 2021, until March 12, 2021.

Significance of the Study

Through this research, the different marketing strategies to computer shop

businesses, such as Comptouch Computer Trading, on the business owners

about its impacts will be showed and recognized. The research will help the

following.

Business Owners. The research will analyze the impacts of marketing

strategies on a business most especially to computer shop businesses. It will

provide business and computer shop owners with information that they can use
efficiently and properly manage their businesses, as well as manage the

probable impacts of it to customers.

Future Business Owners. The research will help future business owners

to have some knowledge on what will be the possible outcomes of the impacts

of the different marketing strategies on their future computer shop business.

Future researchers. The findings of this study can be used by future

researchers who plan to conduct a similar investigation. They may use the

findings and results of this study to support and confirm future studies.

F. Definition of Terms

Marketing - the action or business of promoting and selling products or services,

including market research and advertising.

Strategy - A plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.

Impact - action of one object coming forcibly into contact with another.

Fundamental - forming a necessary base or core; of central importance.

Literature - written works, especially those considered of superior or lasting artistic

merit.

Market orientation - an approach to business that prioritizes identifying the needs

and desires of consumers and creating products and services that satisfy them.

Inspection - careful examination or scrutiny.

Broad Statement - a general statement that can apply to a large group of items

or people.
Strategic Planning - an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction,

and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy.
