Manual Configuration Guide


Mediatrix – C711 VILT

➢ To understand the configuration Procedure on Vims Platform

➢ To understand the configuration Procedure on NGN Platform

➢ To understand the configuration Procedure on IMS Platform

➢ To enable the attendees to understand the troubleshooting procedures


Introduction
Mediatrix C711 is an 8-Port Integrated Access Device (IAD) for providing analogue
lines commonly for PABX Services.

Firmwares
There are Four different firmware versions are currently deployed in the field with
the same hardware type mentioned above. The different versions are as follows.

1. Dgw 2.0.17.285: To be upgraded to DGW 2.0.40.771

2. Dgw 2.0.22.320: To be upgraded to DGW 2.0.40.771

3. Dgw 2.0.23.358: To be upgraded to DGW 2.0.40.771

4. Dgw 2.0.123.431: To be upgraded to DGW 2.0.40.771

5. Dgw 2.0.31.571 : To be upgraded to DGW 2.0.40.771

5. DGW 2.0.40.771 is the Latest version & supports call routing options.
IAD Connectivity
Connect an Ethernet Cable into the SIP configured Port on Etisalat GPON ONT; Plug
the other end of the cable into the ETH-1 Port of your MEDIATRIX C711 IAD.

Power ON your IAD & connect a laptop with Static IP address 192.168.0.11 to ETH-2
Port of the IAD.
Login & Credentials
a. Using an internet browser, browse 192.168.0.10 to access the IAD.
b. Use credentials as: Username:admin&Password:aDm1n$
Verify the Software Version
C. From your C711 or in all the IADs Graphical User Interface (GUI),
verify the Software Version on your IADs as DGW 2.0.40.771
Proxies & Registrar Servers
d. Click on SIP>>SERVERS to enter SIP Proxy ,Registrar Servers &
Outbound Proxy as per the SR Click Apply to save the values

NOTE: Enter respective Proxies & Registrar Servers based on the


installation location (AUH, DXB, etc...)

Registrar Host: ims.etisalat.ae:0
Proxy Host: ims.etisalat.ae:0

Outbound Proxy Host: sbc-vims.etisalat.ae:0

NOTE: Please confirm from Technical support center if required


Account User Name Config
e. Navigate to SIP >> Registrations to enter the username name of the
number to be configured. Click Apply or Apply& Refresh to save the values
Note : VIMS SIP numbers to be entered as 11 digit numbers starting with +971

Note: In the Registration Configuration -→ Proposed Expiration value in


Registration should be 0 as mention in the below screenshot
Account Password Config
f. Navigate to SIP >> Authentication& Click the edit button to enter the
number information to be configured and Click Apply or Apply& Refresh to
save the values

Note : VIMS SIP numbers to be entered as 11 digit numbers starting with +971
c. SIP accounts
Enter the number to be configured in the Username Criteria & Username fields.
Also enter the correct password of the number in the password field. Click Apply or
Apply & Refresh registration.
Note : IMS numbers to be entered as 11 digit numbers starting with +971
d. Restart required services

Click restart required services option if it appears after step g.


Verify Registration Status
Navigate to SIP >> Registrations to verify Registration Status
SIP Misc Config
g. Navigate to SIP >> Misc then in the DNS select address in the supported
DNS queries and click apply
a. Intermittent busy tone Issue for PABX

To solve customer reported issue of “intermittent busy tone during incoming call
on PBX hunting lines”. The solution for the above issue is to enable internal call
routing, related algorithm and hunting causes.

Step1:
Click “Call Router”, click “Route Config”, under “Route” click +
b. Intermittent busy tone & hunting Issue for PABX

Enter source value by Click pull down arrow, select as “sip-default”


c. Intermittent busy tone Issue for PABX

Enter destination as “hunt-incoming”, (select “hunt-“ from the suggestion then


enter incoming ”then click “Submit”
d. Intermittent busy tone Issue for PABX

To add more FXS ports in the route, click “Call Router”, click “Route Config” then
under “Route” click +.
e. Intermittent busy tone Issue for PABX

Enter source value by Click pull down arrow, select and click “fxs-Port01”, then
“fxs- Port02” etc. and continue until the required ports. Example for 24 Line
configurations, all 24 fxs ports are to be added.

Select the Destination as “sip-default” by clicking right side suggestion pull


down menu arrow, and then select “sip-default” and click.

Click "submit” to save the configuration.

Step2:
To configure destination hunting as cyclic, hunting condition and number of FXS ports
in the destination. Click “Call Router”, “Route Config”, then click + under “Hunt”.
2b. Intermittent busy tone Issue for PABX
Enter “Name” as “incoming”, “Destinations as click “fxs-port1”, “fxs-port2” etc. up
to “fxs24”. (incoming is case sensitive)

Enter “Selection Algorithm” as “Cyclic”, Timeout (Seconds) as 0.


2c. Intermittent busy tone Issue for PABX

Enter “Causes” as by clicking right side suggestion pull down menu arrow,
and then select to click “31, 34, 38, 41,42,43,44,47,17”

Note: In the routing configuration area the entries such as “hunt-incoming” “incoming”
etc. are case sensitive.
2d. Intermittent busy tone Issue for PABX

Click "submit” to save the configuration.

After “submit”, the routing configuration page as below. Click “Apply” to save
the configuration.
Disable call waiting for IMS PABX accounts

Navigate to Telephony→ Services & disable call waiting


Brief Description for Field Engineers for IMS Platform

➢ Only Pilot number (main number) to be configured in VIMS .


➢ Pilot number to be configured multiple time (as per CBCM subscribed lines)
instead of hypo numbers.
➢ Separate IAD must be used for each customer.
➢ SIP lines hunting must be configured in Mediatrix IAD.
➢ Multiple accounts cannot be configured on single IAD.
➢ Verify the Software Version existing on your IAD as DGW 2.0.40.771.
➢ IMS numbers to be entered as 11 digit numbers starting with +971
Login & Credentials

Using an internet browser, browse 192.168.0.10 to access the IAD.
Use credentials as:
Username: admin
Password: aDm1n$
Proxy & Registrar Servers
Click on SIP>>SERVERS to enter SIP Proxy & Registrar Servers. Click Apply to save the values &
Reboot

SIP-NGNDXB.etisalat.ae:0
a. NGN SIP Accounts Configuration
Login again, Navigate to SIP >> Registrations to enter the username & friendly name
of the number to be configured. Click Apply or Apply & Refresh to save the values
Note : NGN numbers to be entered as 9 digit numbers starting with zero
b. SIP Authentication
Navigate to SIP >> Authentication & Click the edit button to enter the number
information to be configured.
c. SIP accounts password
Enter the number to be configured in the Username Criteria & Username fields.
Also enter the correct password of the number in the password field. Click Apply or
Apply & Refresh registration.
Note : NGN numbers to be entered as 9 digit numbers starting with zero
d. Restart required services

Click on restart required services


Verify Registration Status for accounts

Navigate to SIP >> Registrations to verify Registration Status

Login & Credentials
Mediatrix C711 Manual Configuration for IMS SIP LINES
Using an internet browser, browse 192.168.0.10 to access the IAD.
Use credentials as:
Username: admin
Password: aDm1n$
Firmware Version
From your IAD Graphical User Interface (GUI), verify the Firmware Version existing
on your IAD as Dgw 2.0.40.771
Proxy & Registrar Servers
Click on SIP>>SERVERS, enter SIP Proxy, Registrar Servers & Outbound Proxy Host.
Click Apply to save the values
NOTE: Same for whole UAE for IMS SIP lines
a. IMS SIP Accounts Configuration
Navigate to SIP >> Registrations to enter the username & friendly name of the
number to be configured. Click Apply or Apply & Refresh to save the values
Note : IMS SIP numbers to be entered as 11 digit numbers starting with +971
b. SIP Authentication
Navigate to SIP >> Authentication& Click the edit button to enter the number
information to be configured.
c. SIP accounts
Enter the number to be configured in the Username Criteria & Username fields.

Step2:
