the way a person thinks, acts,
expresses emotions, perceives
reality and relates to others.

Psychosocial treatments enable people to compensate for or remove
barriers caused by their schizophrenia and learn to live successfully.
People with schizophrenia are subject to many
medical risks, such as diabetes and cardiovascular
problems, as well as smoking and lung disease.
