students who are taking bachelor of Education. Students are most likely to apply
learning and strategies that they have learned in their cooperating schools. During
practice teaching, student teacher will render required number of hours to assist
equipped and skilled in their chosen year level. Another reason is to prepare student
teachers for their career as future educators by immersing them completely into the
school atmosphere so as to feel and be ready for the actual teaching setup.

Experience
Beginning
After 2 years I will finally go back to my studies and continue what I started. I thought I would
not be able to continue my studies thanks to God to the opportunity had given me to continue my
studies. I was tested but it was a challenge for me as one called by Jesus for the vocation of
being a catechist.
It is my pleasure to be given the opportunity to take my practice teaching in my home town. The
Casa del Nino Jesus De Lucban Inc. is a parochial school headed by the former parish priest of
the town of Lucban.
During my 1st day in parochial school, I talked to the academic coordinator Mr. Jayson P.
Terciano of the Junior high school. He gave me an orientation and he introduce me to Mr.
Chuck Salipande Christian living teacher. after the orientation the academic coordinator told me
to talk the academic coordinator of elementary Mrs. Cecile Romana, Mrs. Romano told me to I
will give you grade 6 students in order for you to experience in the elementary level.
After all I go to the parish church to pray, and I prayed “for all that has been, thank you Lord, for
all that will be Yes Lord”.
My first interaction with the students and teachers through virtual learning was very different
and a new for me. During my observation from different section and year, I was amazed how the
teachers taught the students and catch them attention. From that observation I got some
techniques from them that I know I able to use from my actual teaching. I always note
everything that I observe to them. It’s really big helps for me to see and observe them.
The Importance of Education
Last year, the world was besieged by the ongoing COVID Pandemic. Various sectors
comprising of social activists, students and academics, and private individuals sought to have an
academic freeze. This in line with the country’s lack of preparedness and the prevalence of
poverty which hinders underprivileged students to gain access to quality education. Despite of
the clamor for a year break, the government still pushed thru with their plan---and I think, it is
essential not withstanding how they have underestimated the situation.
Why is education essential even in the light of the pandemic? The recent events that took
place greatly influenced the perception of the people, and the manner of discourse both in face-
to-face and virtual forums. Education is important because it hones the critical thinking aspect of
a person. It makes him aware not just about himself, but of his surroundings, and what is
happening there. The absence of education would make it easier for the government to take
advantage of the people. Hence, education guarantees a person the ability to communicate his
demands, and to participate in the nation-building process. Moreover, parents and guardians
may resort to exploiting their children to child labor or sex-trafficking as means of survival; and
education counters all this vileness.
To wit, an educated person can make educated decisions that dispenses educated
outcomes from which the rest of the society benefits. Education is our ticket to a sustainable
future.
My I Meet my students
By the way everyday all teachers are required to go to school, that why I can talk to the
teacher face to face and only the students meet in virtual.
From observations, I learned more things about teaching strategies from virtual teaching.
One of the strategies that I had learned is always encourage your students to participate during
discussions, because sometimes students shy to give their insights about the lessons. So, as a
teacher you should encourage them to participate because in online teaching you weren’t sees
them, you don’t know if it still there and listening to you, do something to get their attentions by
encouraging them.
Nothing is impossible if you think you can do this. Before my observation to grade 6
students Miss. Sweetzel told me about her lesson about Pentecost Sir can you add some ideas
because she told me she is not Religious Educator I know you are equipped to teach this lesson
so that our students acquire more ideas about the lesson. I replied I said Yes miss I can.
During the discussion I gave some ideas about the topic. After the lesson and discussion
some students ask me related to the topic and I answer that question. They say to me Sir Jairo
thank you.
I was inspired by the Holy spirit to give some insight to the lesson.
I challenge
Very challenging because my critic teacher in junior high school is always busy with his tutorial.
Because of that challenge I help myself to learn and study what I observed to other teachers
Observations are very helpful for me because of the teachers and classes I observed, confidence
were need to improve, and learn and doing good from the tasks that has given. Because, what I
had learned from my observations. I will try to apply it to my virtual teaching. Confidence is
important as a teacher because if you don’t have confidence within yourself, you cannot control
the situations you in.
Exactly within the week we had our orientation about the school platform which are module and
online class by using schoology. Schoology is a virtual learning environment and social
networking service for K-12 schools and higher education institutions that allows users to create,
manage, and share academic content. This application is exclusive for school updates and class'
news feed, and other student-teacher learning tasks, where subject requirements and other
projects or activities can be submitted real time or at the given deadline. Same as many social
media platforms, the students can use the feed to interact with the class by posting comments or
sharing contents. And to a modular the teacher assigns in a particular subject do the module per
week according to what lesson need to be discuss in that week. The online and modular students
are same lesson.
In making a module for the modular student they teach me how to make a module. We
have a book as teachers’ reference. We have the following format for making module. we have
created a module for students to enjoy and to make the child interested in learning.
Recollection with the faculty
The faculty and staff have a monthly Recollection and Faculty Development Seminar.
First Rev. Msgr. Antonio L. Obena, HP. the director and principal of CNJL school, he
introduces me to the whole faculty and staff. After that we begin our first session with our
speaker a member of the faculty. He talks about the relation between the teacher and co-teacher
and the second one is the relation between teachers and student.
During the discussion about the relation between the teachers and co teacher. I realized as
student teacher even if you are very close to the person you need to have a limitation because if
we don’t have limitation, you can be abused or nasosobrahan ang pag trato nakakalimot na
pareho kayong guro.
The relation between teacher and student. Before he discusses about the topic, he shows
a video clip about the successful student. He became successful because of her teacher, the
student inspired by his teacher. the student became a teacher too. The teacher said hello Mrs. ( I
forgot the name of a teacher) yes who are you? I am your student before I was inspired to you,
because of you I dream to be like you. Therefore as student teacher the video clip inspire me to
become an instrument to the student na pinanghihinaan ng loob na magpatuloy sap ag aaral.
A Teacher’s Creed
1. I believe that teaching is not a profession but a vocation, demanding dedication and
deep sense of commitment.
2. I believe that I am a co-worker with God in the divine task of molding ang forming
the young and growing minds entrusted to my care.
3. I believe that just as a lamp diffuses light, dispelling the darkness around, so I too, as
a teacher, am meant to diffuse understanding and knowledge, dispelling the darkness
of ignorance and doubt.
4. I believe that I can teach and influence far more by example of my own life, my
principles and values, that I can by all my teaching or by precept and I believe that
I cannot light another lamp unless my own light is burning.
5. I believe that as a teacher preparing students of the twenty first century, I must dare to
be different in my methodology and approach, challenging their intelligence, stimulating
their curiosity, exciting their imagination and inculcating in them sound values.
6. I believe that every child is special, and must be treated as much.
7. I believe that I must not let my own problems, frustrations and anxieties influence
and affect my work and my attitude towards my students.
8. I believe that I must co-operate with the management and authorities respecting
their decisions and rules yet never hesitating to express my own point of view
should I disagree and always doing so with frankness and sincerity instead of
indulging in backbiting and destructive criticism.
9. I believe that having willingly chosen to be a teacher, I must be willing to respond
with effort, dedication and zeal that teaching demands and deserves.
10. I believe that I must know and respect the plea of every child, “accept me as I am, so
that I can learn to become what I can.”
Let’s make memories
Being part of the school where I applied for my practice teaching is always exciting
bonding with the co- teachers in the faculty that makes me grateful of knowing them and since
some of them are my friends so I always have the bonding with them they are very kind and
supportive in helping me since I’m a student practice teacher, since we have sometimes a school
activities for all the teachers, it is fun to be with and be one of them because they know how to
understand and get along I don’t struggle to get along with them the particular reason for
circumstances I am the only one who is Having a practice teaching. I’m into pleasures, so one of
my prayer intentions is that they are always safe in their daily life. A lot of memories I have from
them and it will be my unique memories with them in my practice teaching, there was once a
misunderstanding with other teachers but I learned to do the right thing for the good of anyone of
us. Coincidentally, I also got angry because of mistreatment of someone in school then I humbly
forgive and I was humbled myself once I could answer them and it is my fault so, I always
forgive saying sorry or apologize with all my heart, so I just prayed. One of the things that
inspires me is a wholehearted association with them in pleasures and unseen understanding also
gave me the motivation to pursue and continue teaching and sharing the teachings on human
values as a Christian and faithful. That is why I am so thankful that they have been part of my
life especially to God, that I will not left behind in this battle of life. Thank you for all the
support and understanding God will provide all your needs.
A student become a teacher
I have learned a lot as a student teacher in the activities and in the lessons I have taught to
students and in the modules I do and I have overcome that with confidence in myself and in
God, even though I have shortcomings in my cooperating teacher and other teachers they are
still continue to support and care for me, which at first I thought no one would help me so I did
not expect that my friends are teachers at the same school that I will be having a practice
teaching as a student teacher. So, despite all the trials, I continue to fight for my future. In my
prayers, and the gratitude always comes first for the blessings that God gives me no matter how
hard it is or how easy it is to work hard and trust. and it can only be achieved by faith, because
first of all God provides the challenges that we must overcome and fight for the good of
everyone, comfort is needed for everyone who needs it, because it is not just about you loves
them but because you care and comfort them. I was just experience also stress and sometimes it
makes me feel like an anxiety don’t know what to do but I overcome it just bonding with my
cousin and not letting
myself lonely . Every time when I’m down I always find time to talk to God I went as always in
the parish to pray and give thanks to God.
Challenge of Pandemic to the teachers
How many weeks did I spend in quarantine because it is the requirements of having
health protocols, so it makes me uncomfortable because I thought I have covid19 I was nervous
and don’t know what to do. So, I keep praying, then until I know that it is just a fever and
headache, maybe because of stress and sleepless.
I was so scared that if I have covid19 because many of the people were coming home to
the province from manila so I was nervous that I might be infected or had it, but I didn't lose
hope to pray and believe in God because He is the only one who can prove everything that man
cannot do. So, that's when I was in quarantine I was still worried about what I had to finish but
that's how I got to the point where I felt like I was lazy but still tried to remind me to do what I
have to finish as best as I could and take care of myself. Almost two weeks that I’m always
inside our house in quarantine. So, I did my quarantine time as prayer time for all who need
and for the healing of the world in this pandemic. I have nothing else to think about but to pray
and thank every day that God does not neglect my family and the people who sacrifice for the
needy, the pandemic has made a big difference in everyone but God's love for every believer
has not changed.
I Did It
From April 1 to 15 I was been quarantined in particular reason for circumstances I got
sick. I thought after Holy week I can make PowerPoint presentation and other things that I can
use in my demonstration, I was so sad, it took me April 15 to go back to school. I was worried
because my final demo is scheduled April 16 but I ask sr. Daisy, if I can move the schedule
because of my situation. My demo was move on April 21, this is it, It is a big challenge for me
in particular reason for circumstances my cooperating teacher is not in the school. A day before
my final demo I just checked my lesson plan and PowerPoint presentation with my cooperating
teacher. After my demo sr. Daisy was disappointed with my presentation. I was suddenly down
and for a few days I could not rest and couldn't sleep. Then with my prayer and others positivity
in giving me a word of encouragement, I said to myself I can do it, and I ask from above that
help me, to have a confidence and to guide me in my final demo. So, Sr. Daisy told me to have
my demo again, it is the second chance I have to take and make it better. It was a huge challenge
for me to give the first demo of my teaching, also because of the unexpected events that
made me sick so I was confused with the upcoming schedules for my demo or practice teaching.
That is why I never tired of asking for the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit so, I was not
forsaken and I am thankful to the people who encouraged me to finish and I will also be a
successful teacher after all. I was not been stingy in prayers it praying not just for myself but also
for all those who are in greater most especially this time, they have been one of my inspirations
for the good of all and the society. I already did everything but I still struggle. So April 30 is my
second chance and opportunity to do my best in demo, It is a wonderful God’s love for me and
for everyone who trust and faithful to Him. I did everything according to the mercy and
compassion of God. My sorrow comes in to joy. After all.

About my

Education
About my Course/Program
So, All the way through the year of my journey, I was very close in serving God and I was
an altar server or knights of the altar in our Parish, until I decided to enter a seminary, because
I thought it is the right thing to do to continue my responsibility to serve God as a faithful one, I
was out of seminary and then I decided to enter in the Formation House of Lay Catechist of St.
Pedro Calungsod to deepen my Knowledge to our Faith as Catholic. The LCPC recommend me
to continue my studies in Siena College Inc., Quezon city. I took BSE Religious Education (RE), it
is very challenging for me especially in our Formation house where we are staying to study,
Pray, serve and play which is part of our community life as an RE. So it is one of the very
challenging times because there are different people from different culture in one community
then I tried to communicate to make friends and now I have so many friends who are still
helping me when I have a problem.
Even if this program or course is very challenging I’m always remembering this verse
from Acts 20:24, “But I dread none of these things. Neither do I consider my life to be more
precious because it is my own, provided that in some way I may complete my own course and
that of the ministry of the Word, which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the Gospel of
the grace of God.” I am doing the right thing to His Glory even my whole life because He gave
me this life and I will serve and be faithful to Him in return, without Him I’m not existing in this
challenging world that the way to survive is to be faithful in one and all knowing God. And My
future is in His hand. This is how I came up with pursuing my course as an RE even how hard it is
then I survived with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, many challenges came to my life but God
did not forsake me still He is my Savior throughout the year of pursuing my study in college.
If you are being discouraged by anyone be dependent on God and learn on your mistake
and you will be changed by Him. Live by faith and not by sight spread the love and the good
news for every people. Make everyone knows that God will never forsake anyone of his people.
