Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Greetings from Scientific Committee. Welcome to IMA NATCON 2020!

It’s indeed a great honour and privilege for me to extend a wholehearted welcome to all the delegates and the
august faculty for the 95th All India Medical Conference of Indian Medical Association IMA NATCON 2020,
scheduled to be held from 26to 28th December 2020 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

The theme of the conference is “Learn, Lead & Inspire” which holds the meaning of Learn to update knowledge,
Lead the medical fraternity and inspire the society with confidence and Leadership. IMA NATCON 2020 would
provide a strong platform for the Junior Doctors, Medical Student Network to present, update on several aspects
of Medicine, Surgery and specialities.

We received an overwhelming response to the free paper session, thanks to Dr. Abul Hassan, chairman JDN
IMA. The scientific sessions are planned to include areas of tremendous importance and include luminaries in
the field, both national and international. Our faculty comprises the most experienced teachers and practitioners
from all over the country and abroad. A host of new generation speakers are also allowed to share their expertise
and I am sure they will justify the trust that we have placed in them.

I sincerely express my gratitude and thanks to Prof Dr. JA Jayalal, President Elect for his mentoring guidance
and support in making the scientific programme, a well knit one. I would also extend my thanks to Dr. Jayesh
Lele, Dr. Abul Hassan, Dr. A K Ravikumar, all the members of National HQ, IMA TNSB and Organizing committee
and members of the scientific committee for their wholehearted support for the scientific proceedings.

Kudos and thanks to Dr. M Kanagavel who singlehandedly formulated the surgery and allied sessions
programme, the ever helpful and resourceful AMS Chairman of TNSB Prof. Kannan Rajendran, NHB Secretary
Dr. SG Balamurugan, Dr. TN Ravisankar, Dr. VS Hariharan, Dr. Shakthesh and Dr. Vinothkumar and all members
of Scientific team for the support and cooperation in making the scientific programme a useful one. I thank Mr.
Adarsh and his IT Team for their enthusiastic and ever obliging attitude for our website and hosting platform.

I would like to place on records of IMA Natcon for having 110 hours of scientific deliberations, over 140 free
papers and posters by Junior Doctors and PGs from all medical and surgical specialities, over, More than 100
faculty which is probably the highest number in IMA conference and also are overwhelmed to receive more
than 150 abstracts for Award Paper, Free Paper & E Poster Presentations.

Thanks to all of you, this programme was done in a short period of record one month time. So, if there are any
commissions and omissions, kindly excuse and oblige us.
