SAFETY GOALS BUSINESS PLAN

I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

  As we all know, we are faced with a deadly virus for over a year now. Alcohol, sanitizers,
hand-soaps and facemasks are in demand in the market ever since the pandemic started.
       
Our goal is to provide a solution in our current situation. Thus, providing helpful and essential
products can be a big boost not only to the business but also to the environment and to medical
purposes. We are to offer items with materials that are non-transferrable which could minimize
and refrain from infecting others. Our tote bags are made of polyproplyne plastic and cotton
which are considered safe to humans and environmental-friendly.
       
Since our products are mainly used for outdoors, our target consumers are of all ages especially
in work force and those who are always on-the-go.
       
Our desired products are popular and considered necessities and essential these days thereby, the
competition between businesses is tight especially to other SME or Small and Medium-sized
Enterprises. But through our company’s strategies like, forecasting or advertising our products of
our marketing team it will help us to widened our audience or costumers. We can also give
discounts or vouchers for bulk orders this strategy will increase the costumers interests. Our
products will be posted in our online shop account and we will be using social media like
Facebook, to promote/advertise our products.

For financing needs, all expenses will be listed. The raw materials that will be used, Labor,
Amenities, and Advertising (optional). The expenses will also depend on the marketing budget.

The COVID-19 pandemic has definitely put a more “germ-conscious” spin with the emergence
of many quirky essentials built for the “new normal”. The virus can spread on many types of
surfaces, including plastic. According to the study published in the New England Journal of
Medicine, they found that the virus can survive up to 72 hours in stainless steel and plastic
surfaces and on a cardboard up to 24 hours. However, tote bags are made of different materials,
including woven polypropylene plastic, cotton and other cloth. Due to the situation that we are
currently in, we are very much cautious on how we will be able to prevent the transmission of
the virus.

SOLUTION
Tote bags including alcohol container is what we see as the solution in the problem stated above.
They were the best choice before COVID-19 and remain the best choice during the pandemic.
Studies show that bringing a freshly washed tote bag is a better option than using a single-use
plastic bags where viruses can live longer on the surface

The Center for Disease Control has confirmed that COVID 19 is spread mainly from person to
person, through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks.
The droplets can also land on surfaces with the potential to infect people who touch the surfaces
and then their faces.  Moisture lingers on plastic surfaces, while it is absorbed into and dried on
paper and cloth.  Thus, the virus survives the longest on plastic surfaces (up to seven days) and

Aside from preventing the spread of Corona Virus, there are some general reasons to
use reusable bags rather than paper or plastic bags including pollution control, it helps saving
money, reusable bags are easier to use for both loading and unloading essentials, and lastly it is
environment friendly.

because they represent people who are most likely to be consumers of environmentally friendly.

These customers have an environmentally conscious mindset and are searching for ways to make
a positive effect on environment. Some demographic information for this group is as follows:

 1st year to 3rd year nursing students who are currently enrolled in National University-
Manila.

Tote bags are the fashion products, which demand fluctuates rapidly as per the changing fashion
trends and customers preferences. Tote bags are made from variety of materials ranging from
cloth to leather to plastics to even papers. Packaging is an important aspect of the products and
tote bags are the kind of secondary packaging. They are the unfastened bags having parallel
handles for convenient carrying. Thus, rise in packaging industry and the retail industry has
related impacted on the growth of global tote bags market. There is also a growing trend of using
sustainable materials in the manufacturing of tote bags such as kraft papers, jute and fabrics.
Tote bags reusability and convenient to the user increases their prices. Further, there is high
demand for nylon and plastic material based tote bags, but due to their toxicity released in the
environment it is banned in various countries, which hinders the growth of the market. Below are
examples of environment friendly products which can opt in place of plastic bags.

1. Canvas Bags: Thicker and stronger alternatives to the plastic bags, canvas bags made of
cotton are actually more durable and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. In comparison
to the conventional cotton bags, these bags are lightweight and cost effective. What’s
great is that you can wash them regularly and reuse as many times as you want. And for
those who believe in do-it-yourself, you can buy the material and stitch your own canvas
bags.

2. Denim Bags: Everyone knows this for a fact that denims are reliable and durable. A
denim bag in comparison to the plastic bag can hold a lot more quantity. These can be
easily washed and preserved for a really long time. You can also stitch your own denim
bag using an old pair of jeans!

3. Jute Bags: Another alternative to plastic is the good old – Jute bag. They are stronger,
more durable and are bio-degradable. These inexpensive bags can degrade biologically in
two years.

are from different provinces.

2. Less staff cost - Since we will be using online platform there will be a chance that we will
just be needing less workforce.

3. Shop 24 hours a day - We don’t have to worry about customers not to shop due to it's
being too late in the evening, or before the opening times. The products they choose can
be ordered online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
4. Quick setup - We can be up and running in a matter of a few days. If you compare it to
how much work is necessary to open a physical store, an online shop basically sets itself
up.

5. Another benefit is the positive feedback from rating systems that customers can leave.
And even if they give you negative feedback, you can react to it, engage in dialog, and
improve your service.

and not easy to leak out.

Practical & Lightweight: We made our products to be something that are lightweight for
carrying. The alcohol bottles sprays are easy to attach on wallet, purse, bag, backpack, or even in
areas like ID lace where you can access it easily without touching other things. Our face mask
case helps in maintaining every face mask clean and prevent cross contamination from other
things. Our tote bag has a wide compartment allowing you to be able to carry more things than
usual. All of our products are convenient to carry and use outside, schools, offices, supermarkets,
and some public welfare areas.

The best practices of our company is our total customer experience that includes providing
excellent customer service, from answering emails or messages quickly, returning phone calls
and resolving complaints quickly and professionally. We also monitor our reputation online for
those who have had a bad customer experience and vocal about their concerns. We believe that
we can run but we can never hide so we respond to these negative reviews professionally,
honestly and humbly whenever we can.
Marketing Objectives and Performance
One of our marketing objectives is to build brand awareness and expanding our reach to get more
people to learn about our brand. This will be measured by number of visits to a website, average
number of pages a website visitor views on a website, inventory turnover and customers favorite
products. Our goal is attainable with the help of our operational team who will handle creating
pages and website for our company and monitoring. Our products are very relevant in the present
times due to the pandemic where our safety and well-being is a number one priority for

The challenges that the marketing team is facing right now is the procurement part. This part
means the process of sourcing and acquiring the goods and services a company needs.
