Class IV - Poem 1 - The Wind - Bookwork

The poem is about a child poet who watches kites and birds in the sky and hears the wind rustling through the grass like ladies' skirts. Though he can feel the wind pushing him and calling out, he cannot see it. He wonders where the wind hides and asks if it is strong and cold or young or old. He also asks if the wind is a beast from the jungle or just a child stronger than him. The comprehension questions that follow ask about the poet's identity, what the wind is compared to, and where the wind may hide.
