Today, one of the most hotly debated topics around the world is “Climate Change,” which is
threatening our way of life on Earth. Climate change is defined as a negative change in the environment
and its effects on Earth's living organisms.Climate change and global warming are to blame for the
warming of the Earth's climate over the last two million years. The absurd increase in atmospheric
temperature causes a variety of drastic changes on Earth, such as season shift. The most important
causes of global warming, which causes a variety of effects, are deforestation, the use of fossil fuels,
and other human activities.
We all know that climate change is happening, but there are plenty of things we can do to help
mitigate it and fight climate change. We must take steps to slow or prevent global warming so that we
do not need to seek colonization on other planets. The emission of CFC gases must be reduced, which
requires a reduction in the use of refrigerators, air conditioners, and other cooling machines, or the use
of machines that emit less CFC gas. To reduce the impact of vehicle smoke, environmental standards
shall be strictly adhered to. Renewable energy measures should be implemented, so that if wind power,
solar energy, and hydro-electricity are used instead of coal-fired electricity, a method of controlling
gases that heat the atmosphere can be discovered. In addition, people are ought to use eco-friendly
products and adapt to a more natural way of life.
The researcher presents different literature which are related to the topic which is “Anxiety in Graduate
Students.” The different literature gathered by the researcher were similar in the way that it tackles
about anxiety in graduate students.
It is said that classroom environments are the reasons of anxiety in graduate students; classroom
contest to debate arguments and reading assignments (Fogg, 2009), large projects and meeting
deadlines (Wolnewiz, 1996), instructors feedback (Davis & Coleman, 2007), a lot of independent
learning and researching without much guidance (Pallos, Yamada & Okawa, 2005), managing and
working with challenging students in the classroom (Salm, 2011) and statistics and research-focused
courses (Perepiczka, Chandler, & Becerra, 2011).
In addition, multiple roles of students affects and lead graduate students to anxiety; Graduate
student, especially doctoral students, are also expected to teach (Offstein, Larson, McNell, & Mwele,
2004), graduate students socialization and transition into the role as a student (Austin et al. 2004),
prioritizing academic roles over health, financial security, and personal relationships (Wolnewiz, 1996),
academic responsibilities, research, and financial responsibilities (Wyat & Oswalt, 2013), and
Balancing teaching responsibilities, office hours, student emails preparation (salim, 2011).
Moreover it is said that relationships can also be the factor in anxiety in graduate students;
