Dear Friends
COVID-19 drastically reduced the travel plans of individuals and also disrupted conference plans globally. It has also
brought about a paradigm shift in the way future conferences will be organized. Virtual conferences have started to see
the light of the day and have come to stay.

The biggest advantage of a virtual conference is that it saves the delegate time and
money. It does not disrupt your regular schedule and you can continue your
practice even while conference is going on and the quality of the scientic content
is much higher with a larger participation of experienced speakers.

Online conference does not have boundaries in terms of space and time, because
anyone can use online meetings in any place and at any time. At World Dental
Conference 2020, we had around 15,000 views from all over the world. This
conference gave an opportunity to more than 8,000 students and Dentists to listen

The Virtual World Dental Conference 2020 was a success beyond imagination. With 1250 delegates from 26 countries,
150 Keynote and Guest speakers, and more than 750 paper and poster presentations from students, making it one of
the largest conferences in 2020 in terms of sheer number and the scientic content.

From the very start the conference went on without a single hitch, thanks to the excellent coordination between the
scientic team and the excellent cooperation from the speakers. The timing was perfect with absolutely no delay at any
point of time in both the students and the staff sessions.

There were also 18 principals who participated along with 89 heads of departments from various institutions. 16
presidents and secretaries of various speciality associations and societies were also delegates at this conference. The
participation of around 800 undergraduate and post graduate students was a testimony to the interest that the scientic
content of this conference had generates. For the rst time a price money of Rs 5000/- was given to the students who
won the best paper presentation in various specialities and these awards were sponsored by very senior and respected
specialists of that speciality.

The Tamilnadu Dental Council had allotted 30 CDE points, which was the highest allotted for the year 2020. This year
we have introduced a special presentation category, Rising Star for dentists who have less than ve years of experience
after completion of Post Graduation. This time in World Dental Conference 2021, as a gesture of good will by the senior
dentists, the cash prize for the best paper and poster presentation under each subject will be Rs 2,500/- .

WDC 2021 is going to be bigger and better in all ways and I welcome all of you to be a part of this conference and
together we It will make it an unforgettable experience.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD DENTAL CONFERENCE 2021 (VIRTUAL )
The Scientic Committee of the WDC 2021 (Virtual) is currently developing a Virtual Scientic
Programme that truly reects the “STATE OF THE ART” research and clinical practice of Dentistry.

World-renowned experts from different countries will present GUEST LECTURES, and KEYNOTE
LECTURES on a wide range of topics that are of particular interest to the dental speciality.

This year we have introduced a special presentation category, Rising Star for dentists who have
less than ve years of experience after completion of Post Graduation. In addition to this there will
be a competitive paper and poster presentation open to dental students (Under Graduates, Post
Graduates).

. Registered participants can present either Paper or Poster (not both) in the following categories.
. Not more than one registered participant will be allowed to present a Paper/Poster presentation.
. Co-Authors will not receive certicates for participation.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS
. Abstract submission is not required.
However, the poster submission form should be lled and the nal poster should be attached in
the website www.worlddentalconference.in
. The E-Poster will have to be self explanatory.
. No specic dimension is required.
. Any landscape/ portrait in PDF format is acceptable.
. The posters will not have to be presented by the participant.
. The participant’s name and college name can be mentioned in the poster. Poster number will
not be provided.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER PRESENTATIONS AND ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

. The abstract form for students should be lled in the website www.worlddentalconference.in
. The abstract should be attached in a word.doc format.
. The abstract should contain not more than 250 words.
. You will receive an abstract submission conrmation within 3 days.
. The duration for paper presentation will be 5 minutes + 2 minutes for discussion.
. Last Date of Abstract Submission: May 15th, 2021.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPEAKER PRESENTATION

1. The abstract form for speakers should be lled in the website www.worlddentalconference.in
2. The attachment of the following documents is mandatory.
. Brief CV in one paragraph in a word.doc format.
. Passport size photo in jpeg format.
. Abstract in word.doc format
3. The Abstract should contain not more than 250 words.
4. You will receive an abstract submission conrmation within 3 days.

. FOR KEYNOTE LECTURE: 40 minutes Presentation + 5 minutes Discussion
. FOR GUEST LECTURE: 25 minutes Presentation + 5 minutes Discussion
. FOR RISING STARS: 15 minutes Presentation + 5 minutes Discussion

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

Registration can be done online, via the conference website. Full payment is required upon registration. No
conrmation will be sent by World Dental Conference 2021 until the full payment is received. Payment of
registration fee should be in USD or Indian Rupees.
Registration can also be made through Cheque or NEFT Payments.
