NIOS has released the NIOS 10th date sheet 2020 for all the examinations that were earlier postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak. As per the revised
NIOS 10th date sheet 2020, the examinations for NIOS 10th will begin from July 17, 2020 and conclude on Aug ust 11, 2020. T he NIOS 10th
examinations will begin with Hindustani Music and conclude with Emplyobility Skills and Carnatic Sangeet subjects on August 11, 2020, according to the
revised NIOS time table 2020 for class 10. T he examinations for NIOS 10th will begin at 2:30 pm for all the subjects, as per the revised NIOS 10th date
sheet 2020. NIOS 10th practicals will be conducted between July 2 and July 10, 2020, as per the revised NIOS date sheet 2020.
T he revised NIOS time table 2020 for class 10 was released on May 31, by the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on T witter. T he NIOS 10th
date sheet has also been published on the official website of NIOS with important exam instructions, which are also mentioned below.
Students must check the complete NIOS 10th date sheet 2020 and start with their NIOS Preparations.
Earlier, the NIOS 10th date sheet 2020 was released on February 5, 2020. As per the earlier released NIOS date sheet 2020, the NIOS 10th examinations
were to commence from March 24 and continue until April 24, 2020, but all the examinations have now been rescheduled. T he NIOS practical exams
were scheduled to commence from March 11, 2020, but some of them stand postponed. T he NIOS has now rescheduled the practicals from July 2 to July
10, 2020.
Students must note that the NIOS 10th date sheet 2020 for the Indian and Overseas candidates are released separately. NIOS practical exams are held
prior to the NIOS 10th theory exams.

10th, students must go through the NIOS Syllabus and NIOS 10th Exam Pattern thoroughly before starting with the NIOS Preparations for Class 10.

NIOS 10th Date Sheet 2020: Important Instructions
All practical exams will be conducted at their respective accredited institutes.
No student will be allowed to appear for the NIOS 10th theory and practical exams without paying the examination fees.
T he Mark-Sheet, Provisional Certificate and Migration-cum-T ransfer Certificate will be issued to the successful candidates directly through their
respective Als. In case of cancelled Als, the documents will be sent to them by post at their residential addresses available at NIOS by the concerned
Regional Centre. In the case of candidates whose, required subjects are yet to be cleared will receive the mark-sheet only.
Practical Examination will be conducted as per the above schedule. Since practical examinations are being conducted in small batches, students/candidate
are advised to contact the Centre Superintendent/Coordinator of Als well in advance of the commencement of the practical exam. to know specified
dates as well as batch allotted to them.
For Practical Examinations, the candidates at Als will be divided in the required number of batches according to the capacity of the laboratory and
consultation with the Examiner(s) concerned by the Superintendent/Coordinator of the Centre/Als.

T he National Institute of Open Schooling will be declaring the NIOS 10th Result 2020 for the March-April examinations that have now been rescheduled
to July-August, 6 weeks after the last date of the examination. For the NIOS 2020 examinations, the NIOS 10th Result will be declared in the fourth week
of September 2020, tentatively.
T he revised NIOS 10th date sheet 2020 has been released on May 31, according to which the examinations will take place between July 17 and August 11,
2020.
Once declared, candidates will be able to check their NIOS Result for Class 10th through the official NIOS website using the enrolment number.
T he NIOS declared the NIOS 10th Result on December 10, 2020, for October examinations on its official website.
NIOS 10th examinations 2020 for the March-April Block have now been rescheduled to take place from July 17 to August 11, 2020.

2. On the upper right-hand corner, there will be a green tab ‘Sign In’ and in a blue tab ‘Sign Up’. If you do not have a Digilocker account, you can create one
via the ‘Sign Up’ tab. Clicking on a tab will take you to the next page.
3. Here you will have to give your mobile number or your Aadhaar card number which is linked to a working mobile number. You will receive an OT P for
confirmation.
4. Once you enter your mobile number or your Aadhaar card number, which is linked to a working mobile number, you will receive an OT P which you will have
to enter here. If you do not receive it within 30 seconds, you can request a new one.
5. Once you successfully enter the OT P, you will be asked to create a new DigiLocker account. You will have to provide the following information:

Once the account is created successfully, then the students can easily check the NIOS 10th result 2020.
NIOS 10th Result 2020- How to calculate CGPA
Usually, the NIOS CGPA is given on the mark sheet, but students want to calculate it themselves, they can follow the steps mentioned below:
Add all the grade points of your five subjects
Divide the total by five
An example for better understanding this process:
If your grade point in five subjects is 8,7,9,7,8
T hen the collective whole will be 8+7+9+7+8=39
Now divide the total by five which will result in 39/5=7.8
So your CGPA is 7.8

Q: What happens if you f ail multiple subjects?
A: T he learner is only required to appear for the subjects that they failed during the on-demand examination.
Q: Can a duplicate mark sheet be obtained?
A: Yes, if the student loses their original mark sheet, NIOS issues a duplicate mark sheet.
Syllabus
T he NIOS Syllabus 2020 mentions the topics for each section of the question paper. T he exams for NIOS Secondary level are conducted in October and
April. T hey also provide on-demand examinations, for more flexibility, throughout the year, except in October, November, April and May.
Students must go through the entire syllabus thoroughly and also the NIOS 10th exam pattern to chalk out the study schedule and complete the syllabus
well in time. T hey should also be careful in allocating more time to the important topics and covering all the lesser important topics in one go so as to

Syllabus for NIOS Class 10th
T he Secondary level subjects are divided into two groups, Group A and Group B, as detailed below:

Students need to take a minimum of five subjects, with at least one language, and no more than two languages. A maximum of seven subjects can be
chosen. T he minimum pass percentage for the NIOS board is 33%. In order to pass in the Secondary degree, students need to clear a minimum of five
subjects, with at least one language from Group A and the remaining three or four subjects from Group B.

boards can also enrol for the Secondary level to improve their grades or complete their course.

A. Yes, NIOS allows students who have taken admission in the Secondary level to change their subjects after the fee has been paid.
Q. Can a student take a combination of academic and vocational subjects at the Secondary level?
A. Yes, NIOS allows students to take a combination of vocational subjects, either integrated into their course or independently, along with their academic
subjects.

T he National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an Open School that provides education to a heterogeneous group of learners up to higher secondary
level through open and distance learning (ODL) mode. T he learning happens through printed self-instructional material, audio and video programs,
personal contact program (PCP) and T utor Marked Assignments (T MA).
NIOS has an On-Demand Examination System (ODES) at the secondary level and offers 28 subjects in eight mediums namely Hindi, English, Urdu,
Marathi, T elugu, Gujarati, Malayalam and Odia for secondary examinations. NIOS also offers vocational subjects in combination with academic subjects
at the secondary stage.
T o pass the exam, a student must attend all the classes at the centre so that he/she can get complete guidance from their tutors and also attain a good
score in the tutor-marked assignment as it carries 20% weightage.
Students preparing for the NIOS exams must go through the NIOS 10th syllabus carefully along with the pattern of the examinations. Students must also
solve the NIOS 10th sample question papers in order to have an insight into the type of questions asked in the examination.
T he NIOS secondary course is equivalent to the tenth class and a student is required to complete a minimum of 5 subjects with a minimum of one
language and a maximum of two languages, to be eligible for certification. T he subjects are broadly divided into two categories- Group A and Group B.

T he information about examination centres and results are available online. T he public examinations are held twice a year in the months of April-May and
October-November. Students can appear through On Demand Examination at secondary level in those subjects for which students have been given
admission in NIOS.
Students need to register by filling up the examination form and paying the examination fee as indicated. Examination centres are chosen by NIOS but
they are normally district headquarters, sub-divisional headquarters and other available places nearest to the AIs.

T he National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released the NIOS 10th admit card for the practical examinations which are scheduled from March
11 till March 25, 2020, on its official website on March 6, 2020. NIOS will release the NIOS admit card for the theory examinations in March 2020 for the
exams that will be conducted in April 2020. Students appearing for the NIOS April 2020 examinations will be able to download the NIOS admit card
through the official NIOS website- https://sdmis.nios.ac.in/.
NIOS conducts exams twice a year, in April and in October. T he NIOS admit card for the October 2020 exams will be available in early September 2020.
T he NIOS Result for Class 10th will be declared tentatively in the month of June 2020.
T he admit card is a very useful document that the students need to carry for their NIOS class 10th exams. T he NIOS admit card for class 10th mentions
the personal details of the student along with the information related to the examination centre, centre code, day and date of examination, etc. T he NIOS
10th admit card must be carried by the students on the day of the examination, both at the practicals and theory examinations. Failing to produce the
NIOS 10th admit card at the examination centre, the students will not be allowed to appear for their exams.

T o download the NIOS class 10th admit card, the students must follow the steps mentioned below:
Visit the official NIOS website at https://sdmis.nios.ac.in/
Navigate and click on the link provided for NIOS Class 10th admit card 2020
A new page will open
Fill in the required details on the page such as the enrolment number, hall ticket type
Click on ‘submit’
T he NIOS Class 10th admit card will appear on the screen
Save and take a print out of the NIOS Admit card for future use
