    Special tools • Install RH timing chain:


    o Turn crankshaft until timing mark on middle
    • Crankshaft vibration damper holding tool - crankshaft sprocket aligned with lower oil
    No. C-3281. pump cover mounting bolt m.
    o Ensure RH camshaft sprocket timing mark
    General precautions aligned with chain link between the two
    colored links m.
    • Disconnect battery ground cable. o Ensure timing mark on middle crankshaft
    • Do NOT turn crankshaft or camshaft with sprocket aligned with colored chain link m.

    • Remove spark plugs to ease turning engine. o Turn tensioner lock counterclockwise and

    o Ensure LH camshaft sprocket timing mark
    aligned with chain link between the two

    o Position chain with colored chain link on rear
    crankshaft sprocket.
    o Ensure timing mark on middle crankshaft
    sprocket aligned with colored chain link (1).
    NOTE: Crankshaft has three separate
    sprockets. Timing mark is located on middle
    sprocket 6.
