INSTALLATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• Tech Tool 1.12/2.0x program have to be installed and activated.


• Install dongle drivers (included in package).
• Install Framework .NET 4.0 (web installer included). Standalone installer can be
downloaded at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718
• Install VISFEDSetup.exe.

VOLVO IS FILE ED – EDITOR

Menu

Menu [File] > [Open TMP...]

Use to setelect path of IS (TMP) file.

Menu [File] > [Open XML..]

Use to setelect path of XML file.

Menu [File] > [Open MDB..]

Use to setelect path of intersto.mdb file.

Menu [File] > [Copy To TT 1.12 / 2.01]

Use to copy IS (TMP) and intersto.mdb files into Tech Tool 1.12 or 2.01 for ECU programming.

Menu [File] > [Copy To TT 2.02 / 2.03]

Use to copy IS (TMP) and intersto.mdb files into Tech Tool 2.02 or 2.03 for ECU programming.

Menu [Tools] > [Settings]

Used to configure settings of program. It is required to set DB path. If you want to use other TXT
and XML file editors you can set paths to them too.

Intermediate Storage File Section

Contains information about loaded Intermediate Storage (IS) file. You can load already decrypted
file from XML or decrypt from TMP file.

Intermediate Storage File Section [Encrypt]

Use to encrypt XML file. To encrypt the XML file you need to know ClientID and DealerID of Tech
Tool you are going to use it on. To get this info use GetClientID.exe and GetDealerID.jpg.

Intermediate Storage File Section [Decrypt]

Use to decrypt IS (TMP) file. To decrypt the TMP (Intermediate Storage) file you need to know
ClientID and DealerID of Tech Tool user who downloaded it. To get this info use GetClientID.exe
and GetDealerID.jpg or load from intersto.mdb.

Intermediate Storage File Section [...]

Use to set the path to the file.

Intermediate Storage File Section [Edit]

Use to edit the file with editor configured in Settings.

Intermediate Storage File Section [<- Get MDB Ids]

Use to get the Client and Dealer IDs from InterSto.MDB section.

Intermediate Storage File Section [Convert ->]

Use to convert Chassis Seerie and No into hex value. Useful when chaning cahssis id in file.

Intermediate Storage File Section [ECU Information]

Display assembly part numbers and description of current ECU file. Possible to search and display
for part number, parameter (by code), PID, PPID, SID, PSID, FMI information adn save it to text
file.

InterSto.MDB Section

Contains information about intersto.mdb file. You can load ready mdb file, edit fields and save
changes. Some fileds are already loaded when loading XML or TMP in Intermediate Storage File
Section.

InterSto.MDB Section [Load]

Use to laod values from intersto.mdb file.

InterSto.MDB Section [Save (Update)]

Use to save values to intersto.mdb file.

InterSto.MDB Section [Copy DB Password to Clipboard]

Use to copy intersto.mdb file password to clipboard. Useful when you want to edit intersto.mdb
with MS Access.

InterSto.MDB Section [...]

Use to set the path to a intersto.mdb file.

InterSto.MDB Section [<- Get TMP IDs]

Use to get the Client and Dealer IDs from Intermediate Storage File section.

InterSto.MDB Section [<- Set Date]

Use to set the todays date into Received Date field.

Base64 Section

Base64 Section [Encode]

Use to encode text to Base64.

Base64 Section [Decode]

Use to decode from Base64.

CheckSum Section

CheckSum Section – Intel Hex [Calculate]

Use to calculate checksum of Intel Hex block. Checksum value is displayed in red color.

CheckSum Section – CSW [Calculate]

Use to calculate checksum of CSW file. After calculattion, current and correct checksum values
displayed. You need to edit it manually in the file.

Use to set the path to CSW file.

CheckSum Section – CSW [Edit]

Use to edit the CSW file with editor configured in Settings.
