NMEA 0183 out from the FF-50 is fixed. A list of outputed sentences is
in the manual.
NMEA 0183 In and out of the Radar1800 needs to be set as follows in the
installation menu under DATA I/O:
TEMP IN ---- NMEA
DEPTH IN ---- NMEA
COURSE IN ---- GPS
POSITION IN ---- GPS
NMEA OUT ---- GGA, RMC
The GGA and RMC sentences are turned on by setting their value to “2” (sec).
These settings will allow position information to be received by the FF-50 and
it in return to pass depth and temperature to the 1800 radar/plotter.
Connectors are 5 pin female Conxall type #CX-105. If data cable is shielded
only one end of the shield wire should be connected to earth/ground.
