INTRODUCTION

This report is prepared corresponding to the 8 weeks internship as a part of the MBA program at
University Business School, Panjab University Chandigarh. The report is focused on the
internship project undertaken at Festmate from the period of 2nd May 2021 to 30th June 2021.

The former part of the report gives a brief introduction about the company and the domain in
which the company operates. A reference to the main product of the company is also provided in
the report along with mentioning about the competition, government actions & regulatory
compliance and an insight about the management team of the company.

The latter half of the report gives and insight about the internship timeline and gives a week wise
insight about the different activities undertaken over the 8 weeks of the internship.

The major highlight of the report is the “MANUFACTURER- RETAIL WORKING” ls

of event supplies in Delhi NCR and it got difficult to organize events and fests in colleges due to lack
of awareness and availability. That’s when everything changed and festmate.in was brought to

WHAT IS EVENT MANAGEMENT?

Whether organizing a small meeting or orchestrating a large conference, event planning is a huge
task! Every event, no matter how simple or complex, requires detailed planning and
organization. From establishing an accurate budget to promoting your event, there are a number
of components you should start to consider early on to make the process as stress-free as
possible.

While no two events are the same, and every event has varying goals, budgets, and audiences;
there are several steps you can take to jump-start the planning process, keep on track, and
maximize your event’s success.

In Festmate, there is a practice of having an all teams sync meeting in order to give an insight to
every person in the company regarding what the other teams had done in this month till know. It
is a monthly meeting and all the teams that are present in Festmate come on the podium to give

presentation about the work undertaken by them. As it was the first all hands meeting for the
MBA interns, so an introduction was organized as per the standard practice followed at Festmate.

 The normal working hours were from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM from Monday
to Friday wherein there is feasibility of flexi-time but with onus to ensure
enough face time.
