sloshing feet have to be made into just a part of something
fancier and bigger? Why can't I just use it for its own
sake?"
• George Maciunas was the (non) movement's founder and the one who named
the group/movement "Fluxus" The name derived from the Latin word that
denotes a continuous passing or flowing, suggests the fluidity between media
that marks the artistic activity of the period. This marked a continuation of the
blurring and dissolution of conventional forms of art that had .begun early in
the century with such movements as Futurism, Dada, and Russian
Constructivism and that had reemerged at mid-century in a diversity of
movements, groups, chance operations, Happenings, object music, concept art,
and Fluxus.
