The dimensions of damages to the

casing ply, on the sidewall and on
the crown are defined by a
length
rectangle:
Length by Width
L- is the measurement in the
direction of the casing ply cords.
For sidewall measure on
W- is the measurement across the the casing ply

The dimensions of damages to the
casing ply, on the sidewall and on the

Brushing the patch position

• Mark out three lines:
• 1. Draw around the outline of the patch;
• 2. Draw a second line 20 to 40 mm from the outside of the first line
• 3. Then a third at a distance “patch line” inside the first line.

a. Remove the inner liner using a medium grit dome rasp, over the area corresponding to the third
line;
b. Brush it clean between the first and second lines slightly.

Measurement of the thickness to be cured
The thickness taken into account for the cure law is the
total thickness of the tyre in the repair zone.
+ 10mm to allow for the average thickness of patch
Example: T 35mm + 10mm = 45mm x 5 minutes/mm =

225 minutes or 3.75 hours your curing time for this tire
thickness injury.

Solutioning
Apply black cement, first coat outside and
inside, drying time is 40 minutes to 60 minutes.

Solutioning
Apply second coat, drying time is 20 to 40 minutes.
Patch preparation:
Apply one coat of black cement, drying time is 40 to 45 minutes.
Lay the solutioned patch on this sheet of bonding rubber. Roll the
bonding down from the centre outwards with a smooth roller.

For outside, rubber filling using an extruder gun

Vulcanizations
1. Place the heat pad, air bag and cylinder bag inside the tire on the right
position.
2. Inflate the cylinder bag to 2 psi to allow the right position of heat pad
and air bag.
3. Install the harness strap and the safety chain.

Vulcanisation
All pressure will rise as follows:
Cylinder Bag 32 psi.
Flat Air Bag 28 psi.
Turn on timer switch, when curing temperature has been reached, set the timer for required
curing time depending on thickness of rubber being cured.
Note: minimum 2 hours to opened the straps after cured.

Finishing
Make a final examination of the repaired tire. See to it that it is now ready for
operation and meets the required standard operating procedure.
