    The SCADA system is the backbone of every endeavor towards automation. Traditionally
    Process industries are the pioneers in automation. With the advent of power electronic
    devices and heavy duty processors, Power and Energy sector is also moving towards
    automation. Thus the knowledge on SCADA systems is gaining importance for all practicing
    engineers. In view of this, Industrial Power Group, Dept. of Electrical Engg, NITC is organizing
    a training program on ‘SCADA systems & Automation’.
    Course Highlights: Tutorials, Training and hands on sessions on Allen Bradley, GE-Fanuc,
    Siemens PLC’s, GE i-fix SCADA package and DCS systems, DSP’s in Power Control applications,
    Lab View based Process Automation etc.
    Faculty: Experts from NIT Calicut.
    Venue/Duration: Industrial Power Lab, NIT Calicut; January 24-29th 2011 (5 days)
    Who can apply: Engineering graduates with specialization in Electrical/Applied
    Electronics/Control and instrumentation. Final year students may also apply.
    Course Fee: Registration fee- Rs 1000/-(one thousand only)+Fees for CD, Proceedings and
    refreshments- Rs 4000/-(Four thousand rupees Only).Fees can be paid in the form of DD.
    (Course fee does not cover charges for boarding & lodging).
    How to apply: Prospective candidates can submit the application form (in the format given
    overleaf) to the Coordinator. Last date of receipt: 20th January 2011.
