Definition:
- In both types of antonymy discussed, binary antonymy and converseness, the
antonymy come in pairs call semantic system
Vd: male and female between them constitute the English sex system
what these system have in common: được chia ra nhiều nhóm/nhiều tầng, những
những nhóm này cùng nằm trong từ hệ thống(system)

SENTENCE MEANING
Proposition- mệnh đề nghĩa

UTTERANCE MEANING
- Phát ngôn mà người nói bằng miệng mà người nghe có thể hiểu, nó có thể bằng
câu , single phrase, or just a single word
- Spoken
- Physical event, event are ephemeral
- May be grammatical or not
- A piece of language
- Meaningful or meaningless
- By a specific person
SENTENCE & UTTERANCE & PROPOSITION
- A sentence:
- An utterance: spoken language only. Accent and voice quality belongs to the
utterance (unit of speech)
- Proposition: cannot be said to belong to any particular language
Ex: indicate whether each of the following sentence pairs expresses the same or
different propositions

- Sentence: a sting of words put together by the grammatical of rule of a language
expressing a complete thought

- Proposition: is that part of the meaning of the utterance of a declarative
sentence which describes some state of affairs. it is an idea that stays inside
mind before being turned into utterance a sentence or an utterance
