1.0 Product Description


Multi-function Standalone door controller with EM/Mifare card reader inbuilt. Supports 3 opening way: card,
password, card and password. With relay output can control the lock. Also supports external reader and
manual button inputs for exit control.

3.0 Wring Instructions

The bellow tables shows the pin details of the access controller, the 6 pin connector is for providing power
supply to the device, to connect manual button input and to connect external electrical / magnetic door
locks. The 4 pin connector provides the power for external wiegand out put reader used for exit access.

4.0 Connecting Accessories

4.1 Connecting power supply

The internal parts of access controller are working under regulated 5V supply for this an external DC supply
between 9V to 12V is required. Appling more than, the specified maximum ratings may damage the device.

4.2 Connecting manual button input for door opening

Instead of an exit reader a manual button input may be connected to open the door as shown above.

4.3 Connecting an external exit reader

An external Wigand output reader can be connected to the controller to get authorised exit for the user as

4.4 Selection of electro magnetic door locks

The rated driving voltage applied on the lock is not the same with that of the controller, a separate power
supply must be adapted or else a higher current rated power supply shall be used.
When choosing the power for driving the electric lock, actual power supply capacity and rated working
voltage for the electric lock should be also taken into account.
The following table provides rated voltage and current for some common locks.

5.0 Programming the controller

To perform the programming operations with the controller we need to enter into the programming mode
first using the procedure given in the section 5.1 there after other operations can be done like enrol user,
delete user, change system password etc.
NOTE: Use ESC key to exit from programming mode.

5.1 How to enter in to programming mode


Press ENT, POWER light (red), OK light (green) and MODE light (orange) are ON. Input six digit system
password, if valid password is entered POWER light (red) and MODE light (orange) are ON and OK light
(green) is OFF then access controller enters programming mode. If password is invalid you will hear three
beep sounds from buzzer indicating entered password is invalid and control goes back to power on state.

5.2 Enrol user with membership Card and Password


Press 0, then MODE (orange) is ON, POWER (red) and OK (green) lights are OFF. Enter three digit user
ID, if user ID is valid, MODE (orange) and OK (green) lights are ON, POWER (red) light is OFF and buzzer
gives single beep. If user ID invalid then buzzer will give three beep sounds indicating that user is already
enrolled with this ID and new user ID has to be entered. Once the valid user ID is entered then input six digit
password. While OK (green) light is flashing, show the card near reader to be registered. If card is not
registered before, buzzer will give a single beep then your login is completed successfully and the control
returns to programming state. If card is already enrolled, buzzer will give three beep sounds indicating that
card is already enrolled and new card has to be shown for registration.

Note: Card and password refers to that users have to use both card and password to open the door.

5.3 Change system password


Press 1, then MODE light (orange) is ON, POWER (red) and OK (green) lights are OFF. Enter new six digit
system password (e.g. 123456), buzzer gives single beep and OK light (green) flashes once indicating
system password is changed and control returns to programming mode.

Note: If you forget your password, please carry out system reset procedure in section 5.9.

5.4 Enrol user with Membership Card or Password


Press 2, then MODE (orange) is ON, POWER (red) and OK (green) lights are OFF. Enter three digit user id,
if user id is valid MODE (orange) and OK (green) lights are ON, POWER (red) light is OFF and buzzer gives
single beep, If user id is invalid buzzer will give three beep sounds indicating that user is already enrolled
and new user id has to be entered. Once the valid user id is entered, input six digit password or swipe your
card. If user enters six digit password buzzer gives single beep, OK (green) light flashes once then enrolling
is successful and controls returns to programming state. If user swipes the card for registration, if card is not
registered before, buzzer will give a single beep then your registration is completed successfully and the
control returns to programming state. If card is already enrolled, buzzer will give three beep sounds
indicating that card is already enrolled and new card has to be swiped for registration.

Note: Card or password means that user can open the door with card or password.

5.5 Delete single user membership


Press 3, then MODE (orange) is ON, POWER (red) and OK (green) lights are OFF. Swipe the card to be
deleted or input three digit user id of the user to be deleted, if card or user id is enrolled buzzer gives single
beep and OK (green) light flashes once indicating deletion is successful and control returns to programming
state. If card or user id is not enrolled then buzzer gives three beep sound indicating deletion is
unsuccessful and control returns to programming state.

5.6 Delete all users membership


Press 4, then MODE (orange) is ON, POWER (red) and OK (green) lights are OFF. Press 4 again, if MODE
(orange) and POWER (red) are on, then all users are deleted successfully and control returns to
programming state. If you press any number other than 4 buzzer gives three beep indicating deletion is
unsuccessful and control returns to programming state.

5.7 Set relay operate time (door opening time)


Press 5, then MODE (orange) is ON, POWER (red) and OK (green) lights are OFF. Enter three digit time
values (greater or equal to 005 and below 255), then buzzer gives single beep and OK (green) light flashes
once indicating door opening time is updated and returns to programming state, If entered value is out of
range buzzer gives three beep sound indicating door opening time is not updated and control returns to
programming state. Default opening time is 005 equates with 0.5 second
For example, 123 equivalent to 12.3 sec, 012 equivalent to 1.2 sec etc.

5.8 Change user password


In this mode, user id enrolled in either password or card and password mode is valid, user id enrolled in only
card mode is invalid in this mode.
Press 6, then MODE (orange) is ON, POWER (red) and OK (green) lights are OFF. Enter three digit user id,
if user id is invalid buzzer gives three beep sound and control returns to programming state, if it is valid user
id MODE (orange) and OK (green) lights are ON, POWER (red) light is OFF and buzzer gives single beep.
Now enter new six digit password, buzzer gives single beep indicating change of password completed
successfully and control returns to programming state.

5.9 Reset system password and relay operating time


Short the jumper JS2 (RST) for a while and remove. The process resets the system password and also
resets the relay operating time to 0.5 sec

6.0 Using access controller

6.1 Users enrolled in password mode


Enter six digit password, if password is valid buzzer gives single beep and OK (green) light flashes once
then door will be open. If password is invalid buzzer gives three beep sounds and door will not be open.
6.2 Users enrolled in card mode
Put card closer to the controller, if it is valid card buzzer gives single beep and OK (green) light flashes once
then door will open successfully. If card is invalid buzzer gives three beep sounds and door will not be open.

6.3 Users enrolled in card and password mode


If a user uses card and password to open the door, user should swipe the card correctly (if it is valid the
buzzer will give a beep sound and OK (green) light keep flashing to prompt the user to enter the password,
if card is invalid buzzer gives three beep sounds) and the enter corresponding password. If the password is
valid, buzzer gives single beep and OK (green) light flashes once then door will open. If password is invalid
buzzer gives three beep sounds and door will not be open.
