Answer:
For organizations which end after 12:00 h midnight, we account an additional charge for night work, graded
as follows: For a group of up to 50 guests, staying from 12 h midnight until 3 h a.m.: we charge PHP 5,877.
00; if the guests stay longer than 3 h,a.m, we charge PHP 11747 per newly started hour. For a group of 50
guests or more, staying from 12 h midnight until 3 h a.m.: we charge PHP 11,747.00; if the guests stay
longer than 3 h a.m., we charge PHP 17,699. 00 per newly started hour.
The banquet department must be informed about an alteration of the participants´ number by an increase of
more than 5%, and this at the latest 5 working days before the organization´s start. Such an alteration
requires the hotel´s consent. A reduction of the participants´ number from the customer´s part by maximum
5% will be acknowledged in the hotel´s calculation. Should the number of participants additionally vary,
the originally agreed participants´ number minus 5% will be the basis of calculation. In case of an increase
in the participants´ number the actual number of participants will be calculated.
Question No.2
Answer:
a) The compensation package for a certified Head Chef in a restaurant is clearly stipulated. As a
normal restaurant environment, the executive chef has the opportunity to earn anywhere from
$40,000 upwards per and payable on the last day of each month. Hence the federal and state taxes
shall be deducted. A Head chef as a food handler health certificate in the event of illness which
may be a threat to the health of the group employee temporary suspension of his duty is permitted
when unable to perform the requisite duties, the Head chef shall provide a substitute for his position
during this chapter.
b) An employment contract is agreement of two parties the employer and the employee that seal a

and the pros and cons of the employment contracts to clearly understand the responsibility, role,
the benefits and payment. Employment contract is a necessary agreement that should be read and
analyse carefully before signing a contract because it is important to know your rights as un
employee of a one company and to avoid the possible consequences is individual fail to do their
certain task or job.
c) Yes. I have search a employment contract of a head cock in the restaurant and the grounds for
termination explicitly mentioned. According to the agreement the termination of the employment
shall be effective upon approval of the House Director, the chapter president, and other boards or
individuals designated by chapter. This contract may be terminated with or without cause by either
party upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other party.

➢ Should the organizer be required to pay the full amount of the first day banquet meals?
Answer: Yes, the organizer should pay the full amount of the first day banquet meal because the
even the event did not reach the expected target number of participants showed up in the first day
of the event. Also, the event has already paid 50% of down payment to prepare and serve the food
for 400 people. The amount being paid is not refundable because it was already planed and
contracted by the event organizer and the venue host. Therefore, there is no backing up. The event
organizer is definitely required to pay the full amount of the banquet meal that will consume by
the present 50 participants in the first day of the conference to avoid such consequence in
conducting the event inside the hotel venue and the event organizer during the conference is being
held.
➢ What concessions can the event organizer request from the hotel?
Answer: I think the event organizer should ask for a discount fee in the hotel since the expected
target participants of the conference event did not reach it minimum and or maximum participant
that arrive in the venue. The organizer should as for some consideration since there are only 50 or
less attendees and far from expected calculation of 400 to 700 participant. And because there is
strong typhoon this kind of calamity is uncontrollable and unexpected to happen since it is natural
kind of disaster. Giving event organizer a little discount will be a big help for him to save a little
for its big loss in the conference budget.
➢ Can the hotel legally charge the organizers the full amount?
➢ Answer: Yes. Because the venue has already use by the present 50 participants as they arrive the
conference event and the food good for 400 people is already prepare base on the negotiation
contract of the hotel and the event organizer.
➢ What are the obligations of an event organizer?

➢ Answer: As an event organizer he/she has an obligation and responsibility for planning, managing
and organizing facilities and details such as decoration, catering, entertainment, transportation,
local invitee list, entertaining special guests and ensure their satisfaction is being reach, equipment,
provide promotional material and more. An organizer also must be proactively handling any arising
issues and troubleshoot any emerging problem on the event day. An event organizer that produces
events from scratch concept to completion and bring the outcome of the conference into successful
one.
➢ What are the obligations of a venue host?

Answer: As the venue host that act as the conference hall, main event ceremonies and banquet for
the venue participant the venue host should help the event organizer to plan, organize and manage
the event to ensure that 50 participants are feeling well and comfortable during the conference. It
should also help arriving attendee by welcoming the guests, assisting the guest queries and keep in
touch with the staff by supporting and helping together to perform and accomplish every duties of
the supporting staff to achieve their goal in assisting the host participant as the center priority of
the main event and reach their quality expectation when it comes to service. And put the event in
organize sequence to lead in the good out come after the first day is being held even the event and
the organizer went so much struggles to make the conference event successful.
➢ What could be a possible consequence if the organizer refuses to pay for the excess banquet
meals and insists only on actual consumption?
Answer: if the event organizer refuses to pay full consumption and insisted only the actual
consumption of the banquet meal then the hotel might conclude that there is a thief in the hotel just
like you sit and order in the hotel and then after consuming the good and service provided by the
hotel then a customer eventually pull and run. So, in the case of the organizer now is might accuse
as a thief because the same act (eating without paying) is a crime and a civil matter, a restaurant
may be able to convince the police who respond that it's a criminal matter. The police aren't lawyers,
they won't know the law they are enforcing, and may execute it poorly. But that's fixable in court.
The lawyers on both sides and the judge should know the law, so the criminal complaint should be
thrown out at the first hearing, if the matter is crime the hotel can pursue the organizer as a civil
matter. The organizer will be committed a crime if he/she refuse to pay the full mount of the banquet
meal.
