Saic-M-2012 Rev 7 Structure

This document is a checklist for inspecting structural welding according to AWS D1.1. It will be used to inspect welding for maintenance of potential project SA1 various wellhead equipment by contractor Br.C.A.T International. The inspection will check that welding procedures are approved and qualified, materials are properly identified, drawings are available, welding is performed in an acceptable environment, preheat requirements are followed, electrodes are properly selected, measures are taken to prevent distortion, welders are properly instructed, tack welds meet requirements, and weld profiles meet standards. Pass/fail criteria are provided for each item.

Tack welds shall be subject to the same quality reqmts as the final welds and
shall exhibit good workmanship. Tack welds that are incorporated into the AWS D1.1,

Weld Profiles - All welds, except as otherwise allowed below, shall be free
from cracks, overlap, and the unacceptable profile discontinuities exhibited

Tack welds shall be subject to the same quality reqmts as the final welds and
shall exhibit good workmanship. Tack welds that are incorporated into the AWS D1.1,

Weld Profiles - All welds, except as otherwise allowed below, shall be free
from cracks, overlap, and the unacceptable profile discontinuities exhibited
