Loadsafe Chain Hoists are fitted with an overload - activated clutch which
protects the operator from injury and the hoist from damage. Should an
overload occur, the hoist will automatically stop transmitting the load, warning
the operator to either reduce the load or select a hoist with a higher lifting
capacity. Even when clutch is activated the load can be transmitted in the
“DOWN” direction.

temperatures colder than minus 10oC, prior to checking with the manufacturer to ensure it’s stability at such a temperature.
Under no circumstances should a Grade T chain sling be used if itís temperature has exceeded 400oC. Any sling that
has been exposed to a temperature exceeding 400oC should be immediately withdrawn from service and destroyed. The
strength of Grade T chain is adversely affected by excessively elevated temperatures. It may be difficult to determine in
practice the actual temperature involved, but underestimation must be avoided. Where subjected to elevated temperatures
up to 400oC, the following reductions to the WLL will apply:
Temperature (oC) Reduction of WLL (%)
> -10 < 200 Nil
> 200 < 300 10
> 300 < 400 25

RECOMMENDATIONS
• Ensure the sling has a metal tag showing the WLL for itís various configurations.
• Packing (such as wooden blocks) may be required where a chain comes into contact with a load, to protect the chain
and the load from damage. Sharp corners of metal or other hard material can bend or damage chain links.
• Where one or more legs of a multi-leg sling are not being used, ensure they are hooked back to the master link or
intermediate link during operations.
• Chain slings shall not be subject to shock loading. When loads are accelerated or decelerated suddenly, high dynamic
forces occur, which increase stresses in the chain. Such situations arise from snatch or shock loading (eg. from not taking
up the slack chain before starting to lift or by the impact of arresting falling loads).
• When landing, avoid the possibility of crushing or trapping the sling, by ensuring the load does not land on the sling.
Suitable dunnage should be used to enable the sling to be readily removed by hand.
INSPECTION
In-service: Prior to each use, chain slings shall be visually inspected. Ensure that slings are free of any significant damage
or wear and a WLL tag is fitted. If any defects are detected, the sling shall immediately be withdrawn from service.
Periodic: It is important for slings to be periodically inspected by a competent person, and the following apply:
• Sling inspections shall be undertaken in an adequately lit location.
• Where necessary, the sling should be cleaned before it is inspected.
• Every individual chain link should be inspected for any signs of wear, nicks, cracks, gouging, twisting, stretching or lack
of articulation between the links. Particular attention should be given to links that have been reeved, due to the possibility
of bending or twisting of the engaged link.
• Any worn components should be measured to determine the degree of wear, which shall not exceed that allowed. Wear
may be tolerated until the thickness of any worn section has been reduced by 10% of the nominal section in any plane.
Wear by contact with other objects usually occurs on the outside of the straight portions of the links where it is easily
seen and measured. Wear between adjoining links is hidden. The chain should be slack and adjoining links rotated to
expose the inner end of each link.
• Upper and lower terminal fittings should be inspected for any signs of wear at their load-bearing points, nicks, cracks,
gouging, stretching or distortion.
• Connecting devices shall be inspected for any signs of wear at their load-bearing points, any excessive play of the load
pin within the body halves, nicks, cracks, gouging, distortion or any impaired rotation of the body halves around the load
pin.
A sling inspection record should be provided for each sling. Regulatory requirements may require results to be entered on a
sling inspection record.

PRESTON SHOE
Principle of Operation
Lug comprises the body, retaining head and collar, all manufactured from high
strength alloy steel forgings. The retaining head and collar have the same profile
as corner box aperture. Retaining head is fixed to the body whilst the collar, in
tandem with the retaining head, rotates through a limited arc angle allowing for
insertion and retention of the Lug in the corner box. The body contains a lug
(shackle bush) for attaching it to a sling or strop via a screw-pin shackle or chain
connector.
Product complies with all applicable ISO standards and “EC Supply of Machinery
(Safety) Regulations”. Each lug is tested to twice WLL as stipulated by “ILO Table
of Test Loads” and issued with a Test Certificate, instructions and a Certificate of
Conformity on request.
These Lugs were designed to suit 16mm and 20mm chain having SWL’s of 8.5t
and 12t respectively. The two lugs normally made are the STANDARD and the
UNIVERSAL types
Standard 8.5t and 12t WLL: For manual use it is important to keep the combined
weight of lug plus shackle or connector to a minimum. For most applications the
Standard type with WLL of 8.5t can be used. If using 12t chain connectors that fit
the 32mm dia hole then SWL of 12t can be used.
Universal 12t WLL: This type can accommodate US Fed Spec 12t and 9.5t WLL
shackles. The 38mm dia hole can accommodate all known 20mm 12t alloy steel
chain connectors.

WIRE ROPE & FITTINGS
By flattening the surface of outer wires of each strand, this plane contacting lay
construction has flat touch area of outer wires compared to round strand type rope.
This flat touch area enables longer life of each wire before breaking. While designing
this construction, we emphasized the optimal balance between high tensile strength,
fatigue resistance, abrasion resistance, and structural stability. Powerflex rope is
widely used in various applications such as crane, fishing and mining.
Powerflex 37, 37L
• Very strong rotation resistance • Excellent resistance to deformation
• High structural stability • Extended life of winch drum and sheave
• Very high breaking load • Suitable rope for high lifting tower crane
• Strong against abrasion • Excellent life time

Powertec for cranes has been developed by compacting the outer strands with
Flextec. This plastic injection between outer and inner strands results in a smaller
cross section than normal wire rope. This gives Powertec superior strength against
abrasion and fatigue because the smaller space within the wire rope prevents dirt
and humidity penetrating. Thus the lifespan is about two times longer than general
wire rope and it also has superior flexibility making it work perfectly and safely on
every type of crane.

Powerfil rope is a specialized rope developed for cranes that has compacted outer
strands. A special fiber yarn fills the space between the compacted outer strands
and the IWRC. The life time of these ropes is extended through reducing pressure
between outer and inner parts of the wire rope while keeping the inner parts
free from rust and dirt. The special fiber yarn increases corrosion resistance and
improves durability by 30% over normal wire ropes by providing lubrication to the
IWRC.
Powerfil 8

RIGGING SCREWS
Rigging Screws are used to provide a means for length adjustment and tensioning. They are used
with guys for masts, towers, tall structures and engineering applications. Their elongated eye or
clevis end fittings allow easy connection to shackles and wire rope assemblies. The enclosed
section of the body provides a reservoir for lubricant to protect the threads from corrosion, making
them ideal for permanent outdoor use or in a marine environment.

DINAMIC OIL
For more than 30 years Dinamic Oil has been designing and
manufacturing a complete range of hoisting solutions with line
pulls from 500kg to 35,000kg thanks to continuous research and
development. The company is customer focused and expertly
matches application requirements with know-how and commitment
to offer flexible and high quality products.
Dinamic Oil’s diverse range of winches are the result of the hard work and
dedication of its skilled employees and a corporate philosophy based on
communication and market analysis, attributes that are vital to meet the
requirements of each hoisting application, such as drill rigs, marine and offshore
hoists, and construction cranes.
Over the years Dinamic Oil has repeatedly and successfully adapted its product
to several domestic markets; the standard EU range, characterized by its highly
technical design, is present all over Europe and in the Far East; the A series,
designed in imperial dimensions and with special gear motors, was developed
specifically for the American market; the Motor Drum range allows our customers
to customize their own hoisting solution, mainly addressing German and Chinese
requirements; our rotating case gearboxes, the result of decades of experience in
the marine market, are highly appreciated in Northern Europe.
Dinamic Oil guarantees the safety of its products by load testing every single
winch that is manufactured. In addition to our standard testing, product
certificates issued by the major certifying entities (DNV, ABS) can be requested
for all models.

LOAD CHOKER
The Load Choker is a new and exciting solution to the problem of safely
restraining difficult loads such as loose packs of steel or timber. It has the ability
to maintain pressure and “choke” the load to restrict movement in all directions.
The use of Load Choker offers a major reduction in tie down time whilst
significantly reducing OH&S risk.
Models are available to suit transport webbing or chains.
• Drop forged alloy steel for strength and durability.
• Zinc passivated finish for long service life.
• Rolled edges to maximise service life of straps.
• Huge improvement over traditional belly strap method as it creates even
tension around load.
• Significantly faster unloading times, particularly with multiple deliveries.
• Far greater restraint ability in emergency situations.
