MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMME

Mental Health is one important aspect of health which is often neglected

and there is a taboo associated with it. There is growing evidence of
increased psychological problems in children and adolescents especially
behavior problems and suicides. It is estimated that around 20% of the
world adolescents have a mental health or behavioral problem. Upto 50%
of these have their onset during adolescence. SHARP is taking an
important step towards addressing this issue among children by
conducting awareness programs in schools for students and teachers. This
is an attempt at normalizing Mental Health and creating a platform

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

SHARP encourage the employees of various CSR corporates to be involved in

different activities organized on the field.
Depending on the situation in the field, the employees are briefed about their
role on the field and they are given a chance to interact with the
beneficiaries, be a part of the various activities conducted, they are
encouraged to share their knowledge when we take awareness sessions and
this helps them to look beyond and grow and become socially committed.
YOUTH & ADOLESCENT HEALTH WEBINAR SERIES

Youth and Adolescent Health webinar series was started during

pandemic with an aim to develop health educators in Teachers, Parents
and Youth. Initially it was started with a motive to discuss how Youth &
Adolescents are affected due to the ongoing pandemic situation,
challenges to follow & to share relevant information about persisting
school health issues during pandemic to everyone so they can further
educate the society also to create an open platform for them to ask their
doubts, and get possible solutions.

After completing 25 successful events having discussions on each of the

school health component and still counting, we have been successful in
creating an only such platform in India which is disseminating
knowledge on School Health issues at such a large level by engaging
eminent experts and leaders working in the field of health. This have
further come up as a movement towards positively impacting the school
health scenario in India and this approach is helping us to converge
people to be informed about school health issues.
