VISION: Enable students to exemplify leadership in academic excellence, Christian character, and globally competitive skills.

MISSION: Prepare students to be responsible citizens by providing the opportunity to acquire skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to make decisions that will lead
to meaningful and productive lives for the glory of God.

3. Advocate parental involvement with emphasis on parent’s support.

Course Description Exposure to and orientation on the different social welfare/social work settings and contexts; social work roles and functions in
working with different types of client system, issues and concerns of social welfare/development agencies.

1. Identify the different social work practice settings, clients; needs and problems and agency responses.
2. Compare and contrast at least 2 different social work practice settings based on typology of setting, clientele, functions
of social work including gender responsive approach.
3. Explain the reasons for the existence of welfare agencies as influenced by the socio-economic and political conditions
of the country.
4. Explain the class, age, ability, gender, education, race and ethnicity, sexual orientation are used to assess the especially
difficult circumstances of the clientele of social welfare/development agencies.

1. Demonstrate appreciation of the scope and diversity of the social work settings.
2. Manifest beginning identification with particular social work settings as a potential career path.

1. Produce a directory of social welfare and developmental agencies with corresponding target clientele, program and
